We've been to Hilton Head several times and pretty much know where we want to eat on our July trip except for the first night there. We usually eat at Guiseppi's, but my teen boys are planning on eating at Mellow Mushroom later that week while my DH and I eat out for our anniversary meal. They don't want pizza twice. So we are looking for a cheap place to eat that first night. We need cheap because we will be eating at some more expensive places later that week. We would also like something fairly quick. We will be arriving on a Sunday around dinner time. We like seafood and Southern comfort food. I thought about doing our Sea Shack night that night but probably not a good idea since we will be arriving later (worried about the crowds). What about Roastfish and Cornbread? Are they still open? When searching for their menu, I discovered their website didn't work. Any other ideas?

We like Fiesta Fresh. It is quick service Mexican that we found to be very good. I believe there are too locations on the island. I thought I read on another thread that Roastfish and Cornbread closed down. A Low Country Backyard is good but tiny so you need to go early so that might not work for you.

And we do like Mellow Mushroom over Guiseppi's. I feel like Guiseppi's had gone down hill over time.

Inexpensive seafood-try Kenny B's near the intersection of Pope Ave. Lots of neat football paraphernalia.

For a Wing type place, Wild Wing's is great on Pope, there's also one before you get on the island but I haven't tried that one. That's our normal lunch option on the first day. Crazy Crab or Skull Creek Boathouse as you get on the island are good casual seafood options. You could also look at the early bird options for some of your planned meals later to see if that frees up any cash and opens up the options.
