Has anyone stayed here? We couldn't get into DVC and love HHI so much I booked a 2 bedroom villa. Hoping we won't all be disappointed.

We have not stayed there, but we had the same concern when we recently went down & did not stay at Disney (we were at the Hilton Oceanfront Resort for business, which is in Palmetto Dunes). We love everything Disney, but we discovered that we love Hilton Head, period! As long as your accomodations are clean & in a convenient location (which Palmetto Dunes is awesome!), you will have a great time!! :thumbsup2 I think we may actually do the same thing next year b/c we love Hilton Head so much, but we are due for a WDW trip & will probably use most of our points there.

Have fun!! :yay:

Great choice on Hilton Head. I have been going to HHI yearly for the last 12 years and stayed in everything from DVC, home rentals and even hotels. Many things to do on the island. We always enjoyed the history you will incounter in many of the southerns towns. Savanah, GA is about a 90 minute drive south of HHI and well worth the day trip. Charleston, SC is about 2 hours to the north and also well worth the trip. Go online to the local chamber of commerce and request their tourist brochure before you arrive. Lots of coupons and good travel information.

The Turnberry villas are a good choice. They are a decent size for 2 bedrooms/baths (up/down).
Hopefully you've seen pictures of the place as there is no control of the furnishings or interior upkeep. You are close to the lagoon and golf course and it's perfect for biking around Palmetto Dunes.
