The Disney Club is running a weekend special this summer and we are considering it. I have looked at the Disney web site and it looks like an escape from a regular beach visit and we live in NC so it would not be but maybe 2 hrs more to get there than going to Myrtle Beach.

I would like to know how comfortable are the sleeper sofas. It would be me my DH, DS and DD and I hate to sleep on those lump sofa sleepers. Are these better than I would expect. Are the studio rooms very big?

Any help would be appreciated. Not to sure what to expect. We have stayed onsite in WDW numerous times so I do know Disney quality and hope this resort would reflect the same.

Thanks guys!

Kristin

I have not personally slept on the sleeper sofas, but my DS has never complained. As for the size of the studios, they are larger than most of the hotel rooms at WDW. And yes they are upto Disney quality. One word of warning. once you stay there, you will be addicted. My DH and I took a weekend trip there and ended up adding on points there.

I haven't seen the "getaway" rates, but if you can handle it, get a 1BR (or better yet a 2BR). You'll be amazed at the luxury. If you get the 2BR you won't have to worry about a sleep sofa!

Enjoy the resort!

Using the sofa sleeper, the 1BR unit is really like a 2BR, since you can close off the real bedroom and use the living room independantly. Only catch is that you share the bath. My bother and Sister-in-law slept on the fold out for a week and didn't complain. (Maybe that's because I was paying for the room!) I come from the South were we used to sleep on "pallets" on the floor when we had more folks than beds. To me the sofa sleeper was great!
