Hilton Head grocery delivery?

Does anyone know if there is an online grocer that will deliver on Hilton Head? Also, any recommendations for a local grocery store on HH? We are going down on a Saturday in the summer and are hoping to avoid the crowds at the store. Thanks!

We asked about grocery delivery at the front desk but we were told it wasn't an option.

I, too, thought about the convenience of not having to go to a grocery store -- after all, we are on vacation. Hopefully one of these days.

There is a Piggly Wiggly in Shelter Cove. It's your standard grocery store. Down the road is a Fresh Market. Its a bit upscale but has far superior produce, meats, and a number of 'ready to go' items. There is also a Harris Teeter but it right at the enterance to Sea Pines.

There is also a Publix not too far from the resort IIRC which is where we usually go for food. We tried the Walmart, which is on the right a couple of miles before the resort, but it's not a superWalmart and it doesn't have groceries.

You can also order directly from the resort using the member website. Just a suggestion.

Hi, we just got back from HH last night! In addition to the above mentioned stores there is also a Harris Teeter by Indigo Run and Publix has two stores, one near Sea Pines and one near Indigo Run. We almost always head to Publix as we like their selection and they make fresh sushi. We've also shopped at Piggly Wiggly and found them to be fine, if a bit more limited in their selections.

Alot of our Harris Teeters offer online shopping. You order online what you want, a personal shopper will fill your order and then you drive to the store and they bring it out to your car. all for only $4.95. (plus tip the shopper)

HHI Harris Teeter does not do this, but If we keep asking for it they may start it up.

I do wonder why if HHI is an upscale vacation destination, then why are all the grocery stores on the small and run down side?
