Went several years ago and prepurchased full dinner that was cooked on site. Are they still doing that?

I don't know about on site, but Publix (at least in FL) have a full meal that you can sign up for in advance to pick up the day of/day before. Fresh Market or local restaurants may do the same.

We've gone every Thanksgiving for the past 5 years, and as of last year they were still offering the precooked meal that they cook onsite. But although in previous years, they've had a nice "display" cooking (and smelling) like this-

they just had it off in a corner of the resort in 2010. It's kind of an expensive option, so our first year, we got a precooked meal at Piggly Wiggly, an expensive, but just OK, option. Since then we've gotten a precooked meal from Signe's Bakery-it's not Thanksgiving for us without her pies!

If you have any more questions about Thanksgiving at HHI, since we go every year and loove it, please don't hesitate to ask.

or can I sign up there?

I'm pretty sure you have to sign up by a certain date, which is about 5 days before Thanksgiving. They send a flyer to all guests registered about a month beforehand. I'll dig through my Disney box, and see if I still have last year's flyer. Knowing how I save everything from Disney, I probably do!

I am interested in hearing about other guests plans as we will be down in HH for our first Thanksgiving on the island. We have a slight snafu however, our 20 yo DD doesn't eat meat.

We are normally home with family for the holiday and I usually make a lasagna so she has something to eat besides squash and mashed potatoes. I would love to eat in the villa but believe we will probably go out because we are leaving the next day and I don't want to deal with leftovers.

Does anyone have suggestions for dining out? I have heard the Westin has a great buffet but I prefer a sit down restaurant.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
