Hilton Head for one night?

We are new DVC owners (YAY) and it came with points for 2011 (that are now banked and must be used by March 2013)

We are NOT planning on returning to WDW till 2013 (I won a OMDD trip so we are going to DL in September and we just returned from WDW in Feb (when we bought DVC)

So we will lose 60 points if we don't use them - I looked and we could do a one night sat night stay at HH in june over f-day weekend (we live 2 hours from HHI) Is it worth it to go and stay for one night or should we try and rent our points?

We have stayed on HHI for one night several times either on our way to or way back from WDW. Since you live so close, you could go early and enjoy the pool/beach until your room is ready. You may want to come back and stay for a longer trip in the future.

It's a beautiful resort and staying one night would be a good way to check it out. You could arrive early and use the Beach House and stay late the next day. I wish we lived only two hours away!

Yes, yes, yes, I would definately stay at HH for 1 night. Beautiful resort and a nice little get-a-way. On our last trip to WDW we stayed at HH for 2 nights on route down and 1 night on our way home. Hopefully you can see Shadow... we didn't get to meet him.
