Has anyone stayed at Hilton Head for Halloween week? Do they do anything special?

We have been to Vero over Halloween week and they had pumpkins decorated by the staff, trick-or-treating, crafts, meets with Goofy and Donald, costume contest, and a cottage transformed into a haunted house. The staff dress up and really make it a special day for the kids!

We are considering Hilton Head instead this year, so I just wanted to know what to expect for Halloween theming.

We have been to Hilton Head for the past 2 Halloweens and our kids (boy 18, boy 14, boy 12, girl 10, and boy 9) love it. They have a trick or treat trail set up for the kids, I think they had some crafts during the day. Halloween themed music playing at the pool. Last year at night they played the movie Hocus Pocus at the beach house. It was pretty chilly last year so they gave out free hot chocolate. I don't remember if there was a specific meet with Pluto, but I know we have seen him while we were there. As far as theming, they had pumpkins and fall decorations, I didn't notice anything really "Halloween" specific. No haunted house, no costume contest that I was aware of, but who knows, maybe they will add more stuff this year.

Overall I wouldn't say there is "alot" of things to do, or anything "exciting", it's pretty laid back, like the resort itself. Our kids just spent the day fishing and at the beach house and resort pool. Then they got dressed up and did the trick or treat trail and watched the movie. Hilton Head has become our new favorite resort. We will be there for a few days the 1st week of May. We would have gone for Halloween this year, but we are going down to the parks instead so we will stop at Hilton Head for 1 night 10/27 on our way down.

Besides what’s described above, there were staff decorated pumpkins in Murgies Den the year we were there.
