Hilton Head Concerns

Hi, my wife and I have booked Hilton Head for mid-May. We have been trying to get in for years and this would be our first vacation with our son who will be 8mos old at the time. We received a letter from DVC regarding beach projects and construction which will be going on at the time. This will shut down at least some of the beach, make getting around a bit tougher, and increase noise levels as i understand it. We are concerned that these things may taint our first HH experience. Is anyone else concerned about this?

The resort isn't on the beach so I wouldn't be concerned about noise. Beach construction is supposed to be going on 24 hours a day.

The resort is more than a mile from the beach, the only effect might be if you want to go to the beach.

We are also going mid May! We cannot change our plans, and we hope for the best!

If for some reason the beach is bothersome, there are other beaches you can go to.

There is a lot more to Hilton Head Island besides the ocean beaches. But I am sure you will find a spot to go to that's not affected.

The resort as mentioned is on the west side of island, on the Broad Creek. It's a beautiful setting.

We love Harbourtown and Salty Dog. There is plenty to do. Have a great time.
