Hilton Head bicycle details pretty please!

Hi, we were able to secure HH DVC reservations for July 2015 (YEAH!!!) and am now wondering what options for bicycles there are available. Our problem is a 6 year old who is not able to ride a bicycle without training wheels and even with training wheels is incredibly slow. Our 9 year old is a champ, not worried about him. I had a thought- do they rent the child tandem bicycles? You know, the small attachment to the back of the adult bicycle where he can still sit and pedal the bike. I want to be able to explore the area as a family.

They do have the tandem bikes.

Most every place has tandem bikes available. We used one for our 5 year old last May and it was great. I checked around and rented from a place off site. We were renting 6 bikes (plus the tandem) and it was much cheaper going with an outside company. They delivered and picked up right from the resort, very easy and painless.

If you need a tandem bike you will have to go off property since I did not see any of this type back in September 14. The bike trail goes around the whole island and it is pretty easy to navigate and for younger kids, however, there are some tricky areas that might cause concern for the young child.

They have them at the resort. I rented one for my son and I when we were there in August.

They have the tandem bikes at the resort to rent. It is easy to rent right from Disney IMHO and easy to return the morning of your departure.
