Hilton Head Availability

Can someone help me out, pretty please? I called Disney to try and book Hilton Head through them and they were all booked for my dates. The CM said they were booked for most of the summer. I checked the availability thread and the dates I'm looking for aren't listed as "sold out". I don't want to start a thread in the rent/trade forums because I'm not sure I want to book just yet. I'd just like to know if anyone can confirm that HHI is sold out to DVC members the first week or so in June. I'm looking for a studio for 4 nights anytime the first week and a half of June. I see that a 1 bedroom is listed as "sold out", but nothing for a studio. My husband is in the military and is in Iraq right now. I'm looking for a nice relaxing way to spend his Rest and Relaxation leave he'll get this summer. We've already stayed at Vero and wanted to try something new. Thanks to anyone who can help me.

The summer months are very popular at HHI and on top of that, there aren't many studios or 1 bedrooms. Most of those sell out before the 7 month window opens. It's not at all surprising that the resort is already sold out for the summer since we're only a few months away..

The availability thread is just a compilation of what members have reported as sold out. Ms has the current, real time info.

You might be able to book something for cash, though.

Oh I'm not at all surprised either just trying to see if its really sold out. When I say I tried to book through Disney, I meant that I was trying to book non DVC, if that makes sense. I am not a DVC member so I have no way of knowing what MS has. I don't want to start a rent/trade thread because I'm not 100% sure just yet. I am simply trying to get a better idea of if I'm completely wasting my time. I was hoping that perhaps a DVC member may have recently looked into these dates and could confirm that its sold out for both cash reservations through Disney and DVC reservations. Am I making any sense???? LOL. Thanks so much for the response though.

I called about two weeks ago trying to add an additional studio to our reservation from June 6 - 11. There were not any studios available for that date. I also asked about the 20 -25 and told there were any studios available for those dates either.

Keep in mind that these can change on a daily basis, but this is what I was told two weeks ago.

I checked for availibility through DVC a few days ago for June through August and the only dates they had were Fridays and Saturdays. Maybe we need another point reallocation.:rotfl2:

After completing another HHI resale, I called MS trying to upgrade my next two HHI trips ( Next week- Spring Break and Mid-June ) from one bedrooms to two bedrooms. There is no availability in the most common room type. I did my April waitlist to 7 days and have called every day since. We arrive on Monday and I'm still in a one bedroom. My June reservation hasn't changed either.

Thanks everyone. It looks like I may be out of luck. I guess I'll just keeping calling Disney in hopes of a cancelation. I knew I was waiting too long, but we had no idea when my husband's leave would be until recently, and we still don't know the exact dates.

As people posted earlier, June, July and august are extremely difficult to book. We added on there in 2002 and again last month just for the 11 month window for summer. Fri/Sat are a possibility because they are mega points in the summer. We have been in June or July for the past 3 summers and booked at 11 months for 1 bedroom(they are the hardest). We did luck out one summer and got 3 week nights in August in 2 bedroom, and we counted ourselves very lucky. We head down for 4 nights on June 6.

Sorry to ask in this thread.. but it's about Hilton Head.

We wanted to stay in a studio at Hilton Head from August 12, 2017 - August 20, 2017. My Non-Home Resort booking window opened two weeks ago. I miscalculated and waited till today. Now there's nothing available. I book Vero Beach as a backup and waitlisted a Hilton Head. I hope we get it. Does anyone think that I have a chance of getting it since the waitlist is so many months out?

Not much.

The problem with HHI is that points were sold to fill the resort year round - but not many people want HHI in Feburary. So the Summer months tend to book early with owners, with very few scattered rooms being available for other members - and those get snapped up fairly quickly. And because of the nature of the resort, you can't easily play the waitlist game of a night here and there and moving mid stay - its quite a drive to VB to fill in your extra nights.

There should be plenty of availability at Sea Pines, which is the largest resort at Hilton Head. However, this will not help you if need to use your points, not cash.
