Hilton head at 7 months?

I would love to go to Hilton Head next summer. How hard is it to book at the 7 month time? Any room category harder or easier? I am thinking a 1 bedroom. Anyone's experiences with getting a room at 7 months? Thanks in advance.

From what I hear, HHI in the summertime is very difficult to get 7 months out. And a 1 BR would be especially difficult because there are relatively very few of them at the resort. We go every year and get a 1 BR, but we go off season. If it's doable, the CMs at the resort say that the best weather is in October.

I got a 1 br last year. Called at 9 am 7 months out . I called 3 days in a row before being successful ( just before online booking started).

I just tried to book HH for spring break and it is full. We used to go to HH every spring, but haven't been able to get a reservation for the past two years. We were wait listed last year and the reservation never came thru.

Any suggestions?

We were in a 1 bedroom this past August. I had missed the 7 month window, but called a few weeks later. It was hard to book, I had 2 weeks I was interested in. Believe it or not there were no 2 bedroom or studios. I was only able to get a 1 bedroom Fri -Sun and had to be wait listed for an extra night, either Thur or Mon. We got the Monday about 2 months later.

We loved it....we will definitely be back. It worth the wait and struggle to book.

I've never tried for summer, but had no problem in April and October. I have always been able to get a resort at the 7month window 9am!
