We have a late September reservation at HHI. I was wondering if the hotel is still running at 100% or does it have limited hours after Labor Day. I just remember some places shutting down after the main summer crowds disperse.

We go in the late fall, never gone in the summer, but my understanding is that the hotel is still fully running, as is everything else on the island (except the fireworks and turtle nesting). they still run lots of activities, just don't be surprised if they have fewer participants at an activity than they do in the summer. Have fun-from what I've heard, late September is a great time at HHI. Warm enough for swimming, but far less busy.

We were there last Nov and then again in Jan. Everything seemed to be up and running normally at the resort. I know a few things do close in Jan / Feb on the island (the French bakery at Shelter Cove was one we were disappointed in, though they did have another location open a few miles away). But I think you're pretty safe until after the holidays.

If you look at the HHI owners and lovers thread at september, you can see a few activity guides and the events on the island.

We enjoy visiting after labor day at dhhir every year.

Thanks everyone. Very excited for our trip. I am hoping some of the refub has happened (one can hope!)

We went the week of Labor day last year and the resort was pretty full. Lots of fun things to do around the area. We're going the same week this year because we loved it so much.
