I have a quick question...we are looking to go to Hilton Head next year, but what is there to do there? Aside from the obvious, beach, shopping, and eating (which is what a perfect vacation entails). I am looking more for family friendly nightlife. We are used to going to the world, where we have all kinds of entertainment until midnight!

Hilton Head is much more quiet and subdued than WDW. You probably won't find too much nightlife, unless you travel outside the resort. There are some shrimp boils under the mossy oaks, with story telling and great food, but they don't run late. Sunset kayaking is also a great time for the family, but you won't find fireworks or shows -- althouh depending on the time of year, there is a theater next door which may have some good entertainment.

Have a great time - it's a beautiful resort, and great for family activities!! :wizard:

If you have young kids, the campfires are a blast for them. The Daufuskie Island excursion is a good choice for young kids as well. Hilton Head is loaded with championship quality golf courses.

The evironment is very laid back. The resort will have a schedule of on site activities for the week.

HH has great family activities all day long, though not much happens in the evening. There is a pool party one night at the resort along with the shelter cove fireworks during the summer, and the shrimp boil with activities is at the Beach house one night. There are campfires a few times a week as well. Also - there are Kids Night Out activities a couple nights as well. I know there are some things on the island to do as well - movies, and miniature golf for sure. I can't remember what we did at night when we were there - after dinner we just relaxed, went to the pool, and hung out as a family!

B'lou has magic shows, storytelling, etc. that usually begins at 8 pm or so. The campfires and s'mores are my kids' favorites!
We also enjoy the pirate themed Mini golf that is about 5 mins away. We also will rent the free DVD's and relax back at our villa. There is not a lot to do after about 9:30 pm at the resort that will keep you out til midnight unless you have a marathon shuffleboard or ping pong game!

Campfire, local low country folk music, dolphin cruise, any games, treasure hunts, pirate hunts, Goofy Bingo. I love it all. And I do not have children and I am a mature adult female!!! :goodvibes
