Hilton Head 2BR why no availability until June 16 2024

Looking at Hilton Head for all of May through June 16, 2024 there is no Availability for a 2BR. (1BR are available all nights, and Studios are available most nights in that time frame)
That seems strange since those dates are outside the 7-month booking window and most of the rooms at HH are 2BR's. Then after June 17th every night is available in a 2BR.
The booking calendar notes refurbishment starting in June 2023, but nothing about May or June 2024.

Anyone know what is going on?

Not sure. The wording does not state the rooms are being refurbed at this time.

"Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort will undergo refurbishment beginning in July 2023, with updates coming to areas across the Resort. While most Resort amenities will remain available, you will see and hear refurbishment work during daytime hours. Please allow for additional travel time."

Vero Beach states the rooms are being updated.
"From October 2023 through January 2024, Guest rooms at Disney's Vero Beach Resort will undergo refurbishment.

While you may see or hear construction during daytime hours—typically from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM—Disney Vacation Club Members and Guests will not be placed in or next to Guest rooms that are being refurbished."

What also is weird is that there are no 2 bedroom lock-offs to book. Usually you can click a button under "Not Seeing Rooms You Want?" and it will show the other accommodations.

I just got back from HHI. Construction is happening. Buildings 19, 29, 30 are blocked with construction fences. Part of the parking areas are full of construction materials. A lot going on. We were in building 23 and didn’t have any construction interruptions.

Maybe we need to hold off heading back to HHI until after 2024.

The construction noise and clutter isn't as bad as at most other WDW resorts as there are 21 separate buildings for guest accommodations. So, while they may be working on 14, 19, 30, and 31 now, said work doesn't detract from the overall ambiance and low country vibe the resort has to offer.

Update: There is now 2BR availability through May 16th, but then no availability from May 17th through June 7th.
We plan to be in a 1BR from May 28 to June 1.
Thanks to all of you who posted above about your recent experience. I was worried that if all the 2BR's were not available during those dates there might of have been a lot of construction.
