We are planning a trip in June for Hilton Head and have ressies for June 10 thru June 16. We have just returned from WDW and stopped at HH to check it out. My question is which buildings are 1 Bedroom units? When I made the ressies, the CM asked if I would like a pool view so I said sure. While there last week I asked the CM on duty which buildings have the 1 bedroom units with a pool view and he said none of them. Can anyone confirm this?

You can go to my website and using Doc's Room Statistics and the DVC HHI Map links I think you can see the options for the views at the resort.

Using the info Doc supplied and the Map, it looks like buildings 23, 25, and 26 are the only ones with pool views.

A word of caution...I haven't stayed in a 1 bedroom unit at HH, but have read posts here that some are located underneath the 3 bedroom grand villas and can be very noisy because the floors above are hard wood and people walking sounds like a thundering herd. Check the past HH posts on this board for more info.

Have a wonderful day!

To add to Tommy's comments above:

There are a total of 21 1BR villas. 16 are located in the Live Oak Lodge and building 12 (attached to the lodge). These all have a view generally of the Broad Creek Marsh and have elevator access and a parking garage.
The other 5 are found under the GV's - located in buildings 16,18,19,27 and 28. None of these buildings have a pool view. There are the same number of studios- next to the 1BR's. All of the other villas are dedicated 2BR units and the 3 already mentioned are around the pool.
The resort is very compact, so no villa is far from the lodge...or the pool. The only variation is the view. Either pool view, marsh view or interior/wooded view. The map at Tommy's site will provide a good feel for the layout of the resort. Enjoy!

When we were there in oct-nov 00, we had a family from NJ with 4 kids who must have got up at 5am everyday and ran until lunch.....right above us. The GV's were so many points that most of them were empty. They even use one only for morning coffee's....that would be the one to get into. They only use it a few times per week.

What building is the "coffee GV" located in? And is this particular building N/S? Thanks.

The "coffee" GV is actually the model used for tours. It is in building 28, which is a smoking allowed building.

The GV's are actually kind of a bargain much of the year. They range from a low of 24 pts/night in Jan to a high of 174 for a Sat night in June, July and Aug. In the summer they are often rented out with cash reservations. The Studio and 1BR beneath can get noisy when chairs are moved over the tile floor in the dining area in the GV above.
