We've got one night there for $79 for a great bedroom. Is this a good deal? Should I add on nights or stick with a move to the Dolphin for $194 nt?

if you got the one bedroom upgrade as it appears on Travelzoo, this is a good deal ..... depends on where you want to be located ....travel time wise....

even HGVC members cannot get a one bedroom for that cheap .....using the open season bookings

Yes, I did use the TZOO code for the 1 bdrm. I guess we'll try it for the one night and see.

We stayed at the HGVC Sea World a few years ago in a 2 bdrm lockoff, which included the 1-bdrm unit described on TZoo, I believe. It was very nice, and would be a great deal at $79, and I'd personally go for it vs. the $194 at the Dolphin, but like Lawgs said, it depends on how you feel about saving $$ vs. location. For us, the budget is very important and we always have a car. HGVC isn't a bad commute (very close to I-4 and easy to hop on and off the highway), but it is further away than the Dolphin. Good luck with your decision! :)

I'm giving this one a lot of consideration, as it includes a washer/dryer and kitchen. Looks like there's lots to do for kids, and also it's close to Sea World.

FWIW, I've almost given up on staying onsite unless there's some amazing deal to sway me in that direction. Having maid service and Disney transportation has just not been something that I've considered in the mix. I greatly enjoy having access to a nice resort and a large room. Having a kitchen and washer/dryer to use during my stay for a rate much less than Disney offers for their rooms is usually the deciding factor.

The only negative I can think of is paying for Disney parking, unless you're an AP holder.

Now that our kids are older, DD12 and DS15, we have a really hard time being cramped up in one room together, even at a deluxe at WDW like the Beach Club. On our last trip we stayed at our timeshare at HGVC International Drive for the first time. We had a huge 2-bedroom with full kitchen and washer and dryer. Our in-laws stayed in a lock-out suite attached to our unit. I can not tell you how relaxing it was to have some space to ourselves. The pool and other amenities were wonderful. It was worth the WDW parking fee each day. We still saw everything we wanted to see and I don't feel we missed out on anything. We have stayed on site many times before; if it was someone's first trip to WDW then staying on site would be important.

I was so excited when I found out about this. We've stayed here before, and we loved it. I had reservations at the HGVC on I-drive, so I cancelled them and changed to the Sea World location. We are actually going to be going to Sea World this time, so it worked out great for us! Thanks for posting!! You saved us alot of money!! :cool1:
