Has anyone stayed at the Hilton Grand Vacation Club at Sea World ? We exchanged our week at our Cabo San Lucas timeshare for a week at this location and was wondering if anyone has any experiences to share. The photos look nice, but I have stayed at lousy places that have great photos in the past. Thanks in advance.

HGVC SeaWorld is a very nice resort - the pictures at the RCI site and at the HGVC site are representative of the resort. We've only stayed in a three bedroom unit and thought that was quite spacious. If you request and get a high floor in a room that is on the north or east sides of a building you should be able to see the fireworks from SeaWorld from your balcony at night. The units were in stellar condition when we were there several years ago (I don't know if they've since been refurbished).
The resort has some nice, though somewhat standard, features - nice primary swimming pool area, tennis courts, a functional secondary pool area, playground area, picnic areas, a fairly large list of childrens' activities, etc. There's a typical resort store and deli, a bar and grill type restaurant that's adjacent to the main pool.
The resort location is great, very near SeaWorld and their Aquatica water park. There's access to and from I-4 just around the corner on Central Florida Parkway. There are two Publix supermarkets within a couple of miles of the resort (one on Central Florida Parkway, one just off International Drive), and a Super WalMart that's two or three miles away on Turkey Lake Road. Easy to get to from the airport via toll road 528. Outlet shopping is close by (Premium Outlets just a few miles down International Drive and behind another HGVC property).
The only drawback that I found at this resort was parking. There were several times that we couldn't find a parking space anywhere near our building.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom last June. We liked it.

It was a great central location, since we went to Universal, Sea World and Disney that trip.

The resort is great for children and our kids took advantage of lots of programs offered there. They have a nice covered playground.

The resort is very clean and well kept.

Thank you very much "Detailor" & "Rubbertops" for your reviews and confidence boosters. I appreciate the time you took to reply. We will be staying in a 3 bedroom unit with our family and both sets of grandparents. As a result of your post, I will request a unit to enjoy the fireworks. Looks like my kids and family will enjoy this place.

Take care,
Laura

if not mistaken the three bedrooms are located on the wing portion of the building and thus you will have a view of the next building usually.....the buildings are in a backwards U facing the lake

I am just back from HGVC Sea World. was there from 17th to 26th December. We loved the resort. When we arrived at 10.30am, our room was ready and we were offered 2 choices, 1. to be close to the main area but in a room that had not been refurbished, or 2.further away in a room that had been refurbished. We originally chose option 1 but when we saw the room were very disappointed so we opted for the 2nd room which was lovely. We were in Paget which is the 2nd from last building but is still literally 5 minutes walk away from the main building. Plus there is a 2nd, very large pool right behind the block which we also loved. I would stay again but the one thing I would ask for is to be as far away as possible from the balconies that house the air conditioning units. (There seemed to be one on each side of each building. They are the loudest I have ever heard and were located right next door to our room. I guess we should have asked to be moved but after already moving, I didn't want to holiday turning in to one where we seemed to be complaining. I just wore ear plugs the whole time and it really didn't bother me. We never sleep with our own air con on but if you do then you may not even notice the extra noise from outside.
We had moved onto this resort after spending 11 nights at Bonnet Creek. Both resorts were lovely but I would choose Bonnet Creek over HGVC, simply for the location. Plus we had a 2 bed at BC and only a 1 bed here. We paid $120 a night at BC and $145 here. Latter was still pretty good as it was over Xmas.
We relaxed more here as it was at the end of our 3 week holiday. We loved the fact that it had lots going on and its own cinema. The main pool area is probably the nicest we have been to in Orlando, not bad considering I thought Saratoga Springs was great last year.
We also thought the restarant was excellent and ate there often. No more expensive than say Bahama Breeze.
Only complaint was that we booked through hilton.com and our confirmation said the Hilton Buffet Breakfast was included. This consisted of 1 muffin, so we were very disappointed. They do not have a buffet breakfast atall so there was nothing the staff could do for us. Will take this up with Hilton direct.
Would definitely recommend this resort.

We stayed there about 2 yrs ago in a 2br that we bought thru RCI as an extra vacation. It was very clean and modern and we all had plenty of space. (2 adults, 2 kids) They also included a mid-week cleaning for no extra charge, not sure if that still is happening. There were 2 large pools at the main pool area by the lake. Also had ping pong and billiards right there too.

I would definitely go back again! We drove past the HGVC on Intl. Drive and that looked even nicer. Too bad we rarely see them offered as extra vacations lately. Back then it was only $404 incl. tax for the week! :woohoo:

I do recall it being a little bit of a ride to a grocery store. Maybe it's just that we're a little spoiled; our home ts has a publix right next door. They had preprinted directions to give out.

We stayed there last September for 4 days in a one bedroom and liked it very much. We also spent a week at HGVC on International Drive last Feb. and liked it better than Sea World. Sea World was still really nice though.
