I am looking at booking a room at the Hilton Garden Inn for our pre-DLR visit. We will be staying for 3 nights, going to Seaworld one day, Legoland one day, and hopefully having one day to visit the beach. Has anyone stayed here before? It has good reviews on trip advisor, but I was wondering if anyone here has any experience there. Thanks!!

We stayed there on points last April. They gave us a beautiful room that faced the ocean. We saw dolphins every morning! The ocean is directly accross the street from the hotel, but to get to the water it is a very steep walk down. My 8 and 6 year old were able to make it with some help, but it was not easy and we are a very active family. We were given breakfast vouchers every morning for the hotel breakfast and it was very good with quick service. The staff is very helpful and nice. The hotel is very close to Legoland. I was very happy with our stay and would definitly stay there again.

I am staying there in two weeks, just booked it a few weeks ago b/c of the tripadvisor reviews.

Did you like it? I'm going to LL too and want to spend some time in the area as well.

Any info would be great.

Also, did you do LL and the water park there or just a day at LL? I'm wondering if a day for each is too much? I have lego loving kids 11 (I know, almost too old), 9, and 6. What do you think?

THANKS!!!!

We stayed there in June and it was very nice and not a bad rate for surrounding hotels. The beach is right across the street, but it is a very busy street (you wouldn't want to walk there.) The restaurant is pretty good and the swimming pool was great! It is literally a five minute drive to Legoland and I believe they had a shuttle, but we just drove. It is also close to many restaurants.

There is also a Homewood Suites down the street, which we stayed in on our way back home. It is about the same price, and quite a bit nicer. They also serve a free breakfast and dinner which was a big plus for us. It's not close to the beach, if that is an issue for you.

We stayed at HGI in March for Legoland and SanDiego zoo, we got the ocean front room, great view saw whale's.
If you are a light sleeper and road noise bothers you don't get a room with an oceanview.

the hotel drove use to Legoland the 2 days we went and dropped us at the front gate, it was great and saved us $30 in parking. just call 15 minutes before you are ready to go back to the hotel and they come get you.

We are from east coast so between the Pacific ocean, fresh strawberry fields and all the new restaurants around town that we don't have back east we had a great time.

Sorry, I just noticed the rest of your question. We only did LL, not the waterpark or Sealife. We had hoppers to go to Sealife, but ended up spending the whole day at LL. I think your kids are the perfect ages, mine were 10 (very close to 11), 7, and 6 when we were there and it was just right. I thought some things were going to be too young for my oldest, but he really enjoyed it all. If you had time for more than one day, you might want to do it. We could have used an extra 1/2 day at LL, there were a few things we skipped over because of time. Lines weren't very long when we were there but it didn't seem like they were open very long. I think they closed at 6 that day.
