Hilton DTD???

So, DH has tons of Hilton points to burn. we are looking at staying at the Hilton DTD instead of the Poly.

We stayed there once before and it was nice . . . not the Poly, but nice.

i'm looking for information about how the shuttles run. Do they run similar to the Disney buses, meaning every 15 minutes or so? Would it be better to head over to DTD to catch the shuttle?

Any other information would be appreciated!!

When we stayed about 5 years ago, the bus came every 30 minutes at 15 and 45 past the hour. Holton was the first stop at pick up and drop off. The only downside was having to go to the other resorts (Royal Plaza, Best Western) before going to the park. Not a big deal, just time consuming. The buses were very clean and comfortable. More comfortable than the Disney buses.

The shuttles from the Hilton go to theme parks. The DTD buses do not go to theme parks, only to Disney resorts (+Swan & Dolphin).

IMO, it's easier to use disney's buses to get back from the parks to the hilton (via the DTD marketplace hub.) definitely consider using them as an option on the way back if it's more convenient...

but for outgoing trips, your best bet is the hilton shuttle.

Hi. f7prez Got it Right.
The Hotel buses in DTD acualy goes every 30,min. (Every hr,in the midd day)
4,Buses will come at the same time.
1,bus to eatch park.
They leave about 10,past the hr.(7,10-7,40-8.10-8,40),and so on.
They Stops at Parking Spot 27, at every park.

Stay AWAY from the Official Disney buses,that goes from across the street.
They usaly (sometimes they change) only goes to other Disney Resorts,and then You must change bus to go to the Parks.
If the Official Disney bus goes "Directly" to Parks,they do a MGM/Animal double trip.
And then goes to All Stars. And then Thyphoon Laugoon.
It realy takes a long time.

The DTD Hotel buses are realy fast and fine.
The Only realy bad thing about it is THIS :

Be carefull with children when leaving Epcot, because you must wait 20-30,min for the bus in the middle of a BUSSY parking lot.

PS: When you DO walk to DTD, be sure to leave by the back door near the pool. It's MUCH shorter than going out the main entrance. Have a great trip!

One more Hilton DTD question!

If we use EMH while there, do we need special tickets? Can we get our tickets at our local Disney Store? Will the hotel give us something to show?

I know that when you use the EMH while staying on property, you just show your Keys to the Kingdom card.

When I stayed at the Hilton last summer, you did EMH by showing your room key. But most Disney employees did not know that the Hilton participated, so it was a pain. When I stayed there two weeks ago, the guest directory said to flash your room key... but I didn't go to the parks to try it.
