Hilton DTD Info needed

Hi Everyone,

I am hoping that I can get some first hand Reviews on the Hilton DTD, I have used the search function not may posts are out there. I have a trip planned 08/17-08/24 Exeuctive tower room and some of the Trip advisor reports have got me concerned. So, please any information is welcomed

We stayed at the Hilton in Downtown Dis a few years ago and LOVED the hotel! Nice service, spacious nice room. We had a corner room and it was more than enough space. Nice size bathroom too. DJ at the pool interacted with us guests. He was very funny! I would definitely stay there again. I've also stayed at the Grovesnor across the street, I believe now its called Regal Sun and no comparison to the Hilton. Plus the Hilton is the 1st stop for shuttle bus service to the parks. Once the bus picks you up, it goes around to all the downtown disney hotels.

It makes me feel a lot better knowing that you would stay there again. I will be Staying with my dh my son (13) and his friend (14) so, I hope there will be enough room.

We stayed at the DTD Hilton this past April, DH,DD15 and myself. The room was plenty big enough for the 3 of us. The bathrooms were great, 2 sinks makes it alot easier to get ready. Bathroom was also very clean, one of my major requirements at hotels. We also stayed in a towers room. The executive lounge was great in the morning, we're not big eaters so it worked for us. Pools were fine, just grab chairs when you can. Loved the location of hotel. Go out the doors by the pool to take the path to the traffic lights to go to Downtown Disney.

Our last stay was in November of 08. We stayed on the 10th floor and you do need your room key for the exec lounge. The nice thing was that on the off hours, you can get a coffee, soda and cookies. DTD is a 5 minute walk. A great stay.

Stayed there last year, normal room, ground floor. We walked out of the sliding doors (ours was last but 1 room) and it took less than 5 mins (the road is easy to cross and quick if the lights are on your side) to get into DTD.

Fantastic location, obviously where our room was located was a bonus.

My DS 15 (well, all of us) loved the pool table!

I am sure you will love it.

I've stayed here twice...

we love:

-the great location, quick walk to DTD
- mini-mart in the hotel - great for quick snack grabs (there is also a couple boutique stores and a "disney-type" store
- multiple restaurants on-site (they rotate which is open I think)
- lounge inside and pool bar outside
- 2 big pools w/ a kid's pool and nice hot-tub area (2 levels/hot tub)
- pool bar serves nice sandwiches, and cheaper than indoor lounge sandwich pricing!
* tip - pool bar strawberry daqueri was about 3-4 bucks cheaper than the indoor lounge one!!!
- buses and shuttles (even to the outlets)
- (standard hotel rooms) rooms were nice, basic hotel room...ours was 2 beds/desk/bathroom with sink and large mirror area/ and another vanity area (means an extra sink and mirror) if this is needed with your group

I'll absolutely use this hotel again...have been very happy with the amenities and the service has always been friendly as well
