What can anyone say about the Doubletree Suites in Downtown Disney? Are they nice? Would you stay again?
Any info would be great!

Hi, we stayed here the week of Thanksgiving and really enjoyed our stay.
The hotel rooms are very clean, but a bit dated.

We loved the extra space of the suite, but be aware that it is only a bi-fold door that separates the two rooms, so some light and noise does come through. My children were so tired each night that this did not bother them. Having the small fridge , microwave, and table really came in handy.

The main pool is large, but not fancy. My kids still really enjoyed it. There is also a small splash pool, hot tub, playground, tennis courts and game room. There is also a gift shop full of disney stuff, a small food store, a Pizza Hut express, coffe shop and full service restaurant.

They also give out free choc. chip cookies at check-in and have a special kids check-in that includes a gift bag and balloon. *They will give you extra cookies on other days if you ask at the front desk. :cool1:

You do have to pay for parking and they do have a shuttle, but we had a car and did not use it.

We really enjoyed this hotel and will come again in the future!:)

Thanks for your input about Doubletree Suites. I have been researching places to stay and have narrowed in down, with this being one of the choices. It's hard to tell what you're getting just by looking at computer. I have found that I can also get the Wyndham Bonnet Creek for the same price as Hilton Doubletree. Now the Wyndham Bonnet Creek looks very nice, but I do not know how spread out it is or anything about their shuttle service.

I have noticed that a lot of the comments about the Doubletree is that it is dated. Badly? or just a little. My main concern is cleanliness!

Thanks again.

The hotel looked just like the pictures on the website. I think the 2 bedroom suites are more updated than the one bedroom. The one bedroom that we stayed in for 6 nights was always very clean. Probably not as modern as Bonnet Creek, (I have never stayed there, only seen pictures) but I really found no complaints at the doubletree. We will most likely stay here for future trips because the space and location are wonderful.

The cookies are great! The beds are wonderful except my dh is very tall so he didn't like sleeping on the full size beds in our room. The sofa bed was pretty awful though. The rooms are clean and quiet. The only reason we stopped staying there is because of the parking fees. We were disappointed to pay parking at the hotel.
