We've been to WDW zillions of times, but almost always stay on site. Given all the changes recently, I'm starting to explore off sight options for our next trip. With a discount through work, it looks like I can stay at the Hilton Bonnet Creek for $199/night.
The long Bonnet Creek threads all seem to be about the Wyndham.
So...
Thoughts on the Hilton Bonnet Creek? Is it a PITA to be off site? We'll rent a car, obviously, but are the shuttles reliable and useful if needed?
For those who have stayed on site and off site, what did you most miss staying off site?

Thanks!

Beautiful hotel with a great pool area. You will be minutes to the parks or Disney Springs via car. I never use shuttles.

Do factor they have a daily resort fee ($25) and daily parking fee ($20) if you have not included that in your costs.

Love HBC - in fact loved it so much from our trip in November, I just booked it again for April.
Lovely resort, breakfast is wonderful, kids 12 and under eat free at Harvest Bistro.
Are you Hilton Honors member? If not, sign up free of charge and you may find an even better deal depending on when you're traveling.
We loved the pool, lazy river and pool slide.
We will have a car next time, but last time we did not. Even with the car this time, I plan to use the shuttle. It's a very nice motor coach, with multiple times of the day when it picks up and drops off.
We're heading to the beach after a couple of days at the Hilton Bonnet Creek, but I think I'm more excited about staying there!

What HopperFan said. We stayed there for a few nights a few years ago. Loved it! It would be one of my top choices for an off site hotel, but it's really not even off site - it's next door to Caribbean Beach.

We loved the Hilton Bonnet Creek as well! It had a much more luxurious feeling than the Disney resorts at the same price point (so moderates and below). We got a great rate using a discount booking engine online so make sure to consult all your resources. We paid $125.00 per night and then about $47 per night for the parking and resort fees plus tax. We got a "standard" king room and had this gorgeous view of the pool complex and golf course beyond it... My only real complaint was that the pool closed too early at night for us to enjoy it

I would definitely stay there again. We did not use the shuttles as the parking garage was extremely convenient to our room and we prefer not to wait on buses.
