I can get both of these properties for about the same rate in June. The Wyndham seems to have a much higher "rack" rate so I'm wondering if its a better property. Both seem to get great reviews. Will be there with 3 kids ages 6, 9, & 10 so a great pool & kids activities are the main requirements. Also, lots of on-site dining is a plus.

Hilton Bonnet Creek is a traditional upscale hotel.

Wyndham Bonnet Creek is a timeshare resort with large 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom units. You can rent them from the resort for a huge premium or get a great deal from the many timeshare owners who rent them on this forum, ebay, etc.

The Wyndham Grand is a traditional upscale hotel that shares the same property with the timeshare resort.

With 3 kids, I would rent a 2-bedroom at Bonnet Creek. To get an idea of the going rate, do more research on here or just look at ebay.

Please clarify if your are referring to Wyndham Grand Bonnet Creek which is the hotel or Wyndham Bonnet Creek timeshare condo resort.

That said as PP mentioned, it depends on the type of experience you want. If you want more space with a full kitchen the time share will fit your needs. If you prefer hotels and or room service/valet parking, full service restaurants, the hotel experience may fit your needs better.

That said we prefer the Hilton but the Grand has a nice layout for families with a room with two queen beds and a set of bunk beds.

Sorry, I am referring to the Wyndham Grand not the timeshare resort. Thanks for your replies. I think a room will be fine as its just me & the kids so only 4 of us.

With that info, I would stay at the Hilton. The service is much better, kids eat free at Harvest Bistro with paying adult for Breakfast and Dinner (I think it is dinner maybe lunch though) smaller layout of overall resort. The pools for Grand are shared with timeshare as is the parking. We prefer the dining options at Hilton as well.

Don't forget that both hotels charge a resort fee and a parking fee. The fees are higher at the Hilton.

Also, when you stay at the Grand you will have full use of all the timeshare facilities. The Hilton has a great waterslide and lazy river which the timeshare also has but the timeshare, in addition, has an activity center and mini golf.
