5 more days until we arrive at the Hilton Bonnet Creek! Wondering if anyone has any recent experiences or tips? Favorite restaurant or food item?
We'll have a car, should we drive to Magic Kingdom or take the shuttle?

Thanks!!!! :goodvibes

When we were there last month the Harvest Bistro at the Hilton has a great breakfast buffet for $19 - which we thought was a very good deal. Have a great trip!

The chocolate covered strawberries are only $1 at the pastry shop. They go quickly, but are good if you can get them. If you are going to be at the pool for more than a day or two, you can get floats (and snacks and beer for your fridge) at the Super Target off of 417.

We started off taking the busses, but they are pretty slow, so we ended up using our car or cabs alot, but you have to pay for parking at the Disney parks, like $13. TTC is usually the first bus stop, but DHS takes awhile to reach, and the busses do not go to the waterparks.

If you want snacks or drinks by the pool, just go to the pool bar yourself. The pool waiters were horribly slow.

Beer at the pool was $7. Coffee is super expensive, and it doesn't taste right from the room coffee maker with the local water, so we took Starbucks Via, and just got a cup of hot water at the pastry shop. That was free.

Be careful in the parking lot during employee shift change. They drive quickly and dangerously.

The pool's great, especially if they have dive-in movies. Take advantage of those. We ordered Papa John's pizza and took it out by the pool for the movie. It was fun.

Harvest Bistro is wonderful for any meal!!!!!!! Kids eat free at Breakfast and dinner Buffet!!!! Bring your own floaty for the lazy river. they will blow it up for you.

Enjoy!!!!!!!

LOVE this tip!!!! I purchased cheap inner tubes locally to bring down and I was wondering how we were going to blow them up! I was hoping they would blow them up for us, and now that you have confirmed it, I'm relieved! Thanks!

The chocolate covered strawberries is a great tip. We discovered these on Saturday. The coffee in the shop is pretty good as well, but yeah it's more expensive than Starbucks. We don't use their shuttle as it goes to multiple parks. As someone mentioned, the cabs from this hotel are expensive so if you aren't in a super hurry, hang out in the porte-co for a bit and there's bound to be a good old yellow cab pull up to make a drop...just hop in and save a few bucks. This tip may not apply, but we don't have kids and prefer to walk over to the Waldorf and use their pool as opposed to the Hilton's. Oh and if you drive a hybrid, in the self park garage the front row next to the walkway to the hotel is reserved for you:thumbsup2

The dive-in movies are a great time for kids and adults. A large movie screen is set up pool side and movies start after sundown. Wait staff are on hand to service your dining and drinking needs as well.

Do you know about when the movies start? If they are not starting until it gets dark out, I'm afraid this will be too late for my younger kids...

PS - I'm in Maryland too!
