Ok after 10 trips and always staying on property we will be going down with hubby for a conference. So we have to stay for 4 days at an off site hotel before we can switch to WL. Or we can pay for 4 nights (uh no brainer). So I am trying to pick a hotel from the conference list. The Hilton and Waldorf are the top two I am leaning toward. It seems they have a good bus system for an offsite resort. And they are both very nice. My question is how will we manage with my moms ECV. We never worry at a Disney property. We usually rent one and have it delivered to the hotel. I am debating on renting a car but I don't think I can put the ECV in the car without hubby and he is going to be at a conference. Can we manage offsite without a car? I am also thinking of getting AP so we can be a part of the Magic Band thing. Hopefully that will be available for AP holders in June.
I guess I need to know what am I missing by staying offsite?

IMO, if you are planning to spend those 4 days at WDW parks and have a need for an ECV you best bet is to stay at a WDW resort. It will be so much easier to get around and on the day you change to WL your luggage can be transferred for you by the resort.
