Hilton Anaheim

Stayed there at Christmas, was around 18-20 mins to the Harbour entrance, quickest I did it was 14 mins one day. You can enter/exit out the back of the hotel through the car park (there is a pedestrian walkway) to save a minute or 2.

We are planning on staying here at the end of the month. Our plan is to either Uber in the morning or walk to the Toy Story lot. We'll take the shuttle to Toy Story at the end of the day. The walk is 1.2 miles to the gate according to Google Maps, to the Toy Story lot from the hotel is .4 miles to where I've been told they pick up. We have two little girls with us that can't do the parks all day and walk back and forth. If your trip is after March 4th I'll come back and update you on how it went if you want.

We stayed there a couple years ago and took an uber to and from the hotel. Was only a few bucks and saved our feet for the parks. Very easy and quick to get uber near the hotel and DL.

We stayed there once and used ART. We did make the walk one time. It can be quite long after a day at the park plus add in the walk just through the hotel and to your room and if you’re at the end of their long winding hallways like we were it can seem like forever before you hit the bed! Definitely recommend ART/Uber/Toy Story to save the feet!

Thanks
Would you recommend this hotel or another one, we don't mind walking/Uber just looking for something more then a motel style and on site is out of budget Thanks

Yes absolutely! It was my favorite til we had a baby and it became to far. Now we splurge for onsite

We thought it was fine. Room was spacious and clean, restaurant wasn’t very good but there’s also a food court which was fine and the facilities and staff were generally good.
A couple of times we also caught a rideshare to the Disneyland Hotel so we could go through the shorter security lines at that end but ROTR may have changed things. We also walked from that end a couple of times, took about 25 -30 mins.
We’ve stayed at several offsite and onsite properties and Park Vue and the Hilton have been our 2 favourite off-site places.

Thanks

No real complaints from our stay just not one of my favorite places. For reference we paid $100 per night, I wouldn’t pay more than that to stay there again.

We are looking at about $170 per night but that is for July. Its one of the cheaper places too

A few quirks about that hotel:

1) It's pretty big, so if your room is on an upper floor in the WAY back away from the elevator, it's going to be a hike. Maybe not if you're a single/able bodied adult, but it was tough with luggage + stroller after a long day of traveling.

2) The Starbucks line is horrendous unless you're an elite HH member with Starbucks MaxPass (that's not a real thing, don't google it, lol).

3) There's like a little food court in the back, I didn't even know!

It's a nice hotel, I've done ART, Uber, and walked to the parks... 15 minutes is accurate at a brisk pace, it took us 25 mins doing a leisurely stroll down Harbor at 1am trying to avoid the sprinklers watering the plants. It's not my preferred, but the price is usually the cheapest for a 4* level hotel in the area.

Once JW Marriott opens, I'll probably go there more than here if I need a full service type hotel.

1) Yep, it’s huge. If the OP stays there I would recommend downloading the Hilton app, create a Hilton Honors account and check in online. You can then choose your room from quite a few options. We were able to choose from about 5-10 rooms per floor so had a choice of nearly 100 rooms in total.
3) From the entrance, walk towards then past reception, it’s just past the gift shop and has some seating. Choices were Italian, Sandwiches, Burgers and Asian.
We paid $130 pn including fees and taxes and were very happy.

Not a bad choice. About a 15-20 minute walk. Can be rough at night. The Toy Story parking lot is across the street and you can use the shuttles.

It’s not that bad. I get that there are homeless sleeping in the bus shelters and the 7-Eleven there seems to attract a rowdy crowd. But that’s a problem everywhere.

Lovely lobby, shabby rooms. That place is in serious need of a refurb! We didn't mind the walk at all, though.

Thanks

For us it was a very nice place. We usually stay in the cheaper motels near DL and this was a big step up from those. MIL won’t stay at the cheap places and she was with us and she liked it so if it’s MIL approved it has be to a pretty decent place 😂

I didn’t call it bad, and I didn’t say anything about homeless people.

Confusion with the meaning of “rough” I think nutshell.

You said the walk was rough meaning long/difficult/challenging after a long day in the parks. bcla misinterpreted that as meaning the area along that walk was rough, which it obviously isn’t.

And yes, you did not say it was bad.

That’s for the clarification. I was confused and should have been clearer!
