I feel kind of bad for her this morning.... and I don't even like her.....

No need to feel badly for Senator Clinton. She is a leader of great accomplishment with an extremely bright future. And don't believe for a second that any career aspirations she might have are stronger than her love of her country and her dedication to the principles she forwarded during her campaign. Because she loves her country, becuase she believes in the policies & programs she espoused, Senator Clinton will wake up today glad for her party's victory.

Karl Rove's vision of a permanent Republican majority has been dashed against the rocks by strong repudiation of the American voters.

My guess is that Senator Clinton is very happy today, and ready to be an even greater political force in a much more Democrat-ic United States Senate.:thumbsup2

yeah but- she really wanted to be the President. I'm not saying she isn't pleased that Obama won....

I felt badly for her during the primaries--she was a good candidate, and had to put up with a lot of nonsense. I'll b et she gets through today, and the next couple of hundred pretty well. After she lost the primary, it wasn't it all clear that any of her policy initiatives would see the light fo day--they're in alot better shape today, and I'll bet she feels pretty good about that.

I'm not sure why you feel sad for her. I mean, she realized quite awhile ago that she wouldn't be President. I bet she's extemely happy with the outcome of the election. I know I am and I'm not a democrat. I'm not even American.

I'm sure she's secretly bummed. After all, an Obama win means she cannot run in 2012 and has to wait till 2016.

If Obama's Policies don't work out and things don't get better . Democrats can run. This could be like runnning against Johnson in 1968 and Kennedy running against Carter in 1980.

Hillary could also be on a Obama Ticket in 2012. Joe Biden will be 66 This Month, Would he be a good VP candidate on the ticket at 70 years old

Why is it that other people retire at 65 or earlier, but politicians keep working until they die in office or are defeated?

They think they're like wine and that they get better with age... .someone needs to tell them they're not like wine, though.. they just need to stop whining.

I don't feel sorry for her, but as someone that was NOT pleased with Hilary during the primaries I have to admit she went above and beyond for Barack. IMO, she won Florida and helped in Pennsylvania for Barack. Many of her voters voted for Barack. I have gained great respect for her. If she does run in 2016 she will have my support.

I was always a Hillary supporter, but after this election my respect and admiration for her has grown tremendously. She has shown such maturity, such class. She put country before her personal feelings. She's truly an extraordinary woman.

Anyone who still thinks she "secretly" wanted Obama to win is delusional. Her enthusiatic support, and hard word for him went far and beyond anyone in the party -not to mention anyone who lost in a primary before her.

WTG, Hillary, you've made me SO proud to support you!

Hilliary is a strong remarkable woman that will no doubt be a strong player in the Senate. She's going to be fine.:)

Well, I'm somewhat bitter and I'll admit it freely. Hillary had to take one for the team and be the bigger person. She sucked it up and campaigned for Obama. What did HE do for HER? Or for the party? Or for the women of America who were ready for a woman as president or VP?

Obama could have easily offered Clinton the VP slot. That ticket would have won handily. Then we wouldn't just be hearing "the first Black US president." We'd also be hearing, "the first female US vice president." And let me tell you, I would have liked the sound of that. Women of all colors waited 50 years longer than Black males to be able to vote. I wonder if we'll have to wait 50 years longer to hold a major office in America?

Obama had it within HIS POWER to give this to not only the women of the US, but the world. Yes, little Black kids will now grow up thinking they can really be president, but wouldn't it have been great for little girls to have been able to look at a female VP and know that they too could be VP or president? No thanks, Barack. His ego couldn't share the spotlight with Hillary, so women got the short end of the stick AGAIN.

This historic day could have been twice as significant, but noooooo.

Yes, I wrote in Hillary's name on the ballot to express my displeasure with the whole process. I voted, but not for a man who had to hog it all and couldn't share. Because I know that if things had been reversed and Hillary had thought Obama was the best one for the VP slot for the Dems, she WOULD have picked him. She would have been a bigger person than he was. Well, she gave him her one vote at the ballot box. He'll have to earn mine in 2012.

At least she has the pleasure of knowing that the person who got the nomination over her actually won it. If I were Hilary, and Obama had lost, then I would probably feel bad. Like, the guy beat me, but he didn't even win. I wonder if she'll run again one day.

There's always 2016. I really respect Hillary Clinton!
