So, going to be in WDW on 5/22 - 5/25...and of course we have SWW :( I could give a flying flip about Star Wars I was hoping to at least grab a ride on TSMM, ToT, and RNR. Has anyone tried to hop in to DHS on one of these insane weekends and been able to ride the headliners and get out without spending 1/2 a day and waiting in crazy lines? We have PH so I only wanted to hit the park long enough to ride aformentioned rides and split. We're staying at Boardwalk. Would it be best to hit at RD and start with TSMM? We wont have kids with us so a 30-40 minute wait would be manageable, but obviously I'd like to wait the least amount of time so we can hop to another park. TIA!

I would go on Friday at rope drop, heading straight for TSMM. Grab a fast pass for RNR for 9-10, then hit ToT after TSMM while waiting for RNR. Bam. You'll be done quickly. I believe the park opens at 8 on Friday, but be there early by walking over. We stay at the Dolphin and just walk it. This is how we always do that park and it's been great. Have a great trip!

Alas, we aren't arriving until late Friday night and dont plan on a park until Saturday. :( We leave early afternoon on Monday so we really have just the weekend to park hop. Would Sunday be better than Saturday to accomplish this?

I think we are forgoing AK this trip unless we just get bored (as if!) and want to hop over for a ride on Everest and maybe do one of the walking trails. Epcot will be our main focus as I'm really looking foraward to being able to explore the pavillions as we drink our way around the world;)

Yes! If you aren't into Star Wars, can you hit it first thing Monday morning before leaving? If not, Sunday is definitely better than Saturday. I'm not a SW fan, but I do enjoy seeing the troopers on the roofs, etc.

Are you planning on using FP+ on a different park later? If not, then FP TSMM and Tower of Terror and head straight to RRC at rope drop. (This is what we are doing one SWW Friday, but we will also look at some of the activities and characters,)

It's much more difficult if you want to use FP+ at a different park. I would hit TSMM followed by RRC and TOT and hope that the crowd is heavily SWW fans that are looking to sign up for Star Wars activities first and DHS rides second. I would be there 45 minutes to an hour before scheduled rope drop. I have a bad feeling that rope drop could be even earlier than usual.

Only 2 day PH unfortunately. I'll plan for a RD on Sunday and then maybe dedicate the rest of that day to our Epcot adventure. We've never been with the crowd levels like they're projected to be so it'll be interesting to say the least! We're usually there with our kids the last week of January each year. I want to do some loose planning but really just try to be in the moment too. Hopefully it can be done!

1. I would be there 45 minutes to an hour before scheduled rope drop.

2. I have a bad feeling that rope drop could be even earlier than usual.

1. Add at least 30-45 minutes to those early-arrival times.
2. It will be, for sure.

So your suggestion seems to be 75-100 minutes before scheduled rope drop.

How early do you think they will allow people in? My swag was 25-40 minutes.

If we are not interested in the immediate Star Wars items, celebrity sign ups, special merchandise, etc, but to just not having a long wait at RRC, do we need to be there the 75 - 100 minutes early?

We're just going to ride the headliners and see some of the random characters that we saw roaming in 2006. Our daughter finished the movies a few months ago.

Now I'm wondering what kind of crazy crowds we'll be facing when we go to SWW! We went several years ago, but the only bad crowds I recall was during a parade on Hollywood Blvd. Oh well, good thing crowds don't bother me too much (and DH and DD love Star Wars).

Like Hootch said, if you are planning to spend time at the Epcot world showcase pavilions and won't be using FP there, why not get some for Sunday morning at DHS? Then you could go straight to RNR and have FP for TOT and TSMM to ride with little waiting.
