How long of a hike is it to the old cabin?

If you mean the little cabin on the nature trail along the beach, I would say maybe a third of a mile (just an estimate). You can also access it from the backside of Loop 300...there's a place to park electric carts, and you can walk along the canal and come out at the same place, and it's a shorter walk. It's a very serene place, and my DH likes to fish there.
