hijacked again!

Arrrgh after getting rid of i-search, now I have Netspry-it keeps restting itsell as my homepage, and shows up when I try to access websites. i tried to uninstall, but no luck. I've run Spybot and Norton anti-virus, and they haven't helped. Anyone else have this show up?

Try CW Shredder. Just do a post in Google for it and it should come up. It is a free utility to help get rid of hijackers.

Tried that, but I still have have Netspry Scary thing is, when I try to log on to my online banking site, it goes to Netspry. I'm ready to delete everything on the computer and start from scratch

Try going to
PestPatrol.com to see if the pest is named on its list of known pests.

You can download PestPatrol software for free. The free version will identify your pests but will not remove them. Some are easier to remove manually than others. The PestPatrol website will list the steps to removing a pest but some of them can be complicated. You can also purchase the licensed version of their software and it will remove the pest for you.

Keep in mind that anti-virus software is not designed to protect you from pests. You need a good firewall and a spyware detection program that will prevent the drive-by downloads that are installing this junk on your computer. I highly recommend
Spyware Blaster . It's free to download and it is updatable online as well. Since installing it, the only defined pests that I've seen are spyware cookies.

I hope that you can get rid of this new pest. Some of them are very tenatious.

I finally ended up getting some friends of my 17 year old to fix it for me. They took care of everything, but of course they reset my homepage to read "We Love You Jean!!!"

These programs are good to know. I use IE and haven't had a problem, but when I try to use Netscape, I cannot get rid of wabu and my links bar has some ishvsoanfgr that I cannot get rid of in IE either.
