Will do a proper trip report in due course but in true dis traditions, here's our highs and lows:

Highs
Dreams!
Meeting 4 princess' in the pavillion.
Great warm dry weather.
Non existent crowds and queues (apart from the princess pavillion of course!)
Pixie dust in room on arrival, 2 mickey soft toys, 2 autograph books with pens, a tinker bell watch and a silver disneyland pen. Oh and a VIP pass for breakfast.
Seeing my kids having an amazing time.
Princess interaction with my daughter. They were all super amazing but Snow White was just unreal. Spent ages with my princess, talking and kissing and cwtching each other. I have wonderful photos and video footage which will stay with us forever.
Venturing out to paris and doing a river cruise.
Shareholders discount! I didnt realise you could use it in Annette's, rainforest and planet Hollywood! I saved so much money this week it was amazing! Such a shame it ends this month and i can't afford to buy another 80 shares :-(

Lows
Smoking smoking and smoking. Utterly disgusting and not policed anywhere by anyone and when i tried and make a gesture for them to stop when near my kids trying to watch dreams i almost started world war three! Whilst it won't stop us going, its such a shame that its everywhere. Why isn't anything done about this?? Its such a shame and everyone who comes back from paris moans about it so do something about it!

The pavillion system.
I have no idea what can be done to improve this because its just so popular. I saw waiting times of 150 mins on one occasion and the park was empty! We queued at 9 am just to have a waiting time of 30 mins. Its worth every minute of the wait but what happens when its raining? You get drenched! It needs improving but how i have no idea.

Santa Fe breakfast. Wow. The chocolate flake cereal is lovely but the rest, not great. Ate here for 2 mornings then just gave up. Had breakfast in the park instead.

The pointless baggage check u have to go through to get into the parks and village area. So you put your bags thru the X-ray machine and they check for what?? Food and guns and bombs i guess. And yet you just walk past the machine and collect your bags totally unchecked??! So i carry a gun in my jacket and walk thru unchecked. Easy peezey. Its such a failed system isnt it? It just causes a pile up and pushing and shoving to get through. Its not a low but its just pointless.

Anyway, we had the greatest family holiday ever and so glad i took the gamble with the deal of the century! Full boring trip report to follow soon

I love those highs - brilliant pixie dust at the Santa Fe too :).

Welcome home :-) we also got a vip breakfast pass and a bit of pixie dust - a cars mug wrapped in cellophane filled with sweets and a tea basket :)

I agree about the bag check, they don't even look at the screens and allowed my dh to walk through with a disney sack without it going through the machine! We also gave up on SF breakfast, just to busy for me! Was glad I took those instant porridge pots lol

Welcome back, sounds like you had a great time:)

Whenever I have been they check the bags going through the monitor, they stopped someone who had a knife in their bag and confiscated it after giving them a lecture.

Welcome back!!! Wonderful about the queues. I like queues like that :thumbsup2
Did you ask for the pixie dust before arrival? So lovely when you get pixie dust, makes your stay more magical. I bet kids were excited and happy about that.

Would you mind telling more about SF breakfast? Did you ask for breakfast in the park? Was SF breakfast that bad? Or just because it was that busy?

I emailed the hotel just before arrival and explained it was my wife's birthday and i also explained how we lost our son Owen at birth last June. My wife has been suffering with depression ever since and has been having counselling. It really was the worst day of our lives, even more so for the wife who carried him for 9 months and then agonised for 18hrs of labour and then for Owen to be cruely taken away from us after only a few minutes of life.

I shall be personally writing to the hotels manager and thanking him for the pixie dust, my wife was reduced to tears.

I'm so sorry to hear that. Really sorry. Thumbs up for DLP doing pixie dust.

And SF breakfast? Just queues? Busy? Bad food? Did you ask for breakfast in park? Sorry for so many questions :goodvibes We're staying in SF..

Well even though it was quite quiet breakfast was a handful. Lots of pushing and shoving. A few days of that along with crusty bread rolls and coissants is enough for me. I dont have much for breakfast anyway so we went into the park and i bought some hot chocolate and some choc chip cookies from the cake shop on main street

Sorry no i didnt ask for breakfast in the park. I think u can pay for it in cafe mickey but im not sure about in the park itself sorry. A lot of the food places in the park were shut this week i noticed.

wow adr - your family has been through such a lot this last year, I'm so sorry to hear it.

What time did you choose breakfast? If we do 7-7.30am, will it still be busy?

the actual food offerings for breakfast at the Santa Fe are the same as at the Cheyenne Isila.

Thanks, if it is so, we'll be fine. Is it busy just like in Cheyenne?

I remember one morning on our last trip people eating in Au Chalet de la Marionnette during EMH.

We went at 7.40am and 9am, both times were busy. The food was ok, we stuck to croissants and pain au chocolat, the bread was too crusty. The cheese is cubed and they had some sort of ham or cold meat. Dd enjoyed the fromage frais and apple puree. We didn't try the fruit salad. I noticed they also had a garlic puree?!

Great trip report - always makes me happy to hear about others having a great time at Disney. Makes me super excited about our trip for Halloween :)

Welcome home great to see so many highs! Sad to see smoking still going annoyingly on without due regard to proximity to others especially children! Sorry also to hear breakfast was so manic. Lovely pixie dust for you all...well deserved by the sound of your traumatic time x looking forward to your trip report ;-)

Yes i was completely shocked and overwhelmed by the pixie dust received. The wife would have been happy with just a few balloons maybe.

I've just thought of another high, the characters. We managed to see a lot more during this trip than on any of our other two trips. Some meets were not even on the weekly programme so i have no idea how these characters just turned up!?

Saw goofy and Pluto by the royal stage by the castle, Pinocchio and gepeto and the two mice from Cinderella (i have no idea if they are mice or what their names are) :-) outside its a small world. Saw pooh by caseys corner. Duffy and Minnie by city hall. Mickey and Minnie by woodsy round up. Ariel, Snow White, sleeping beauty and belle in princess pavillion. Mickey, goofy, Pluto and tigger in cafe mickey. Minnie twice in Santa Fe lobby. Balloo by the Aladdin walk through. Then in the studios we saw buzz, mickey, mulan, woody, remy, stitch, lilo, jasmine, Aladdin, and Donald Duck and ariel again.

Cinderella's mice are called Suzy and Perla ;)
