I kept forgetting to do one of these and now nearly 2 weeks later I'm remembering!!
We were in DLRP Tuesday 21st September - Saturday 25th September. Staying in Hotel Cheyenne
Highs
Hotel Cheyenne - amazing hotel and well exceeded my expectations. Looks much much better in 'real life' than in pictures. I think because i had it in my head it was the second cheapest it would be alright - but was really amazing. Service at check-in fab and their Mojitos were to die for! Me and Scott finished every night with at least one in the bar - which had a great atmosphere. Even breakfast ran very smoothly every day!
Big Thunder Mountain - In my opinion is just AMAZINGLY better than WDW version and just great great fun!
Annettes and California Grill - two restaurants I will defintaely go back to - both completely different of course! Annettes was a great upbeat atmosphere with good burgers and California Grill was out of this world - we were given a table for two overlooking the Castle
Could see in Inventions from here as well and will definately be visiting here next visit!
Lows
Chef Mickeys - we were sat in the Conservatory and it almost felt like characters weren't even allowed in that area as we barely met any of the characters and there were so many in the main room. Kind of felt we were sitting out listening and watching in to the excitement of Cafe Mickeys! Food was nice though - but a bit rushed considering we were trying to make it last longer in the hope some characters would come to visit us!
Part of Woodys Round Up - I liked how you joined a queue and met goofy , then it continued to meet Mickey - but Woody was a free-for-all crowd. Why he couldn't be added on to the line after Mickey I don't know!
Phantom Manor not opening - I had hoped Phantom Manor would have opened on the Saturday as was arranged , as we had hoped to go on it at opening before going to the airport, however it was still closed due to technical difficulties - so im desperate to go on this again next trip!!
And something a bit high and a bit low...
Not really a high or a low but deserves a mention I feel - Toy Story Playland. Great themeing (although I cant understand why Buzz wasn't there to meet but just outside of Toystory Playland by Nemo Ride!!) but none of the rides were overly amazing, just quick thrills. Its beyond me why they couldn't just add a Toy Story Mania!
Overall though - a great trip as usual, and can't wait til its time to book another trip!
