Hi guys,
We are currently sitting in the Red Garter bar (on Cheyenne's free wifi -who knew?) and we have decided on the following highs and lows
Highs
Christmas theming - we always love coming at Xmas, due to the decorations / songs / etc and this time was no exception! That Christmas tree was amazing!
Dreams - Though I do prefer the original Dreams from before the Xmas makeover, there is no denying that this show was FANTASTIC! Loved every last part of it and am glad we saw Frozen before we came out, so we could sing along (plus I adore Olaf!)
Cafe Mickey - Had a cracking meal there this afternoon with some great interaction from Mickey, Chip, Dale, Gepeto, Pluto and (in particular) Goofy! Speed was an issue but worth the wait! Great soup, steak and Profiterole! Food - Chuckwagon, Cafe Mickey AND Plaza Gardens left us very satisfied! Even more when we think due to the free "upgrade" we got due to price reductions, the food worked out to be FREE!
Duffy - Decked out nicely in his Xmas gear always makes my wife happy! Only had to wait 5 minutes as well!
Ride queues - Though it was VERY busy in both parks the longest we had to wait was 30 minutes for Crush and BTM, everything else was 5-10 minutes max! As we had my step-daughter with us, this meant I had to go on Indiana 4 times in a row! VERY green after that! Lol
Lows
Only a few but still annoyed me enough to jot them down
RS Transport - arrived at CDG at 9.30 looking forward getting to the Hotel quicker than the VEA and went outside looking for our lift. Nothing! Waited until 10, nothing, 10.30, nothing! I'm getting a little concerned so phoned to see where they were. Finally got through to someone who claimed due to our plane being delayed (it wasn't) they would come and pick us up at 11. Anyway, long story short, finally got to DLP at 12.30! Not happy, and as I write, I am a little concerned in case they are late picking us up tonight! :-S
Lack of Characters - throughout the whole time we've been here we only saw one chance meeting (Baloo) but he was that swamped we really didn't wNt to get pushed around! Are they reducing the amount of characters? or were we just unlucky?
Service - MY BIGGEST ISSUE!!!! Now, I'm not saying the service we received was poor (as it was quite the opposite!) what my issue is was the lack of speed from food counters, drinks counters, shops, etc!! I know the parks were busier, but there was absolutely no management of queues, delegation, etc!
So, is DLP is reading this, here is an open invitation to you. I will come and work with you for a year and promise I can get your queues in order! I have a proven background in this and wouldn't even charge you the earth!! Lol
It was SO frustrating to watch these guys, who I believe want to do a good job, fluster around like a headless chicken and not get the people served!!
