Hey all
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee're baaaaack!!
Got home very late Friday night after a fantastic 5 days of total Disney bliss!
We had a ball! And as is traditional here are our highs and lows

Highs:::
  1. Weather - Monday and Tuesday were glorious. Wednesday was horrid but with a quick change we were well able to take on the very quiet parks and Thursday and Friday we encountered a bit of drizzle but it was perfectly managable!
  2. New things - we tried new restaurants, conquered fears of rides (which are now faves!) and tried and loved pin trading!
  3. Food - we had loads of great meals and no bad ones! More on this in the review threads by the weekend!
  4. Wait times - longest wait was 25mins, mostly walk ons and 5-10min waits! How cool is that!
  5. Characters - there were loads about! We met the witch for the 1st time and forged a relationship with Duffy. I think we all fell in love a little infact!
  6. Meeting the lovely Donald Ducks Wife and her gorgeous wee chap Jonah. It was so nice chatting and just wanted to say myself and my two monkeys are thrilled to have met you guys and made two great new friends. The kids are still discovering new things in their lovely goody bags xx #nodarkblueallowed :D

Lows
  1. The witch kept moving away from DD during the meet and greet - ok I know maybe it was just her 'role' but it was getting to feel a bit nasty after 10mins! DD finally got her autograph though.
  2. DD then lost her autograph book and James' and her camera (with a huge SD card) on the train back from Val D'Europe and was distraught for the day :'( My poor baby wasn't having a good afternoon but we had plenty of cuddles and she is borrowing my old one for our next trip so its all ok now. Such a pity but we have the best memories and we cannot leave them behind on the train :) Must say she did have some lovely pics too so on the upside we may just have discovered her future career ;)
  3. Getting back to Ireland - my car broke down two minutes down the road from the airport parking and it was 2 hours before the breakdown service arrived. Our plane had already been delayed so I ended up driving home in the dark and I had anxiety attacks the whole 1 and a half hours drive home :( I'm not good with driving at night and on motorways and my windscreen was was glarey from where'd I'd rubbed it plus I was sleepy. UUUUUUUGH! Mams driving next time though

Thats it! No more lows and to be fair they weren't the end of the world alway! They certainly didn't taint our wonderful holiday!

Must also say thanks to everyone who left lovely comments and chatted with me on the lead up to this trip and all those who offered advice, tips and info and sent CDs (thanks Rach - its still on repeat here!xx)
The parks looked lovely, magical and clean and while there may be areas that need to be used more it was the best holiday we ever had and practically perfect in every way!

Oh and the Santa Fe was pristine. The refurb is amazing. Its so nicely themed and ***** and span. The only downside was the hall on our floor was a bit smelly! Not bad enough for us to complain though.

Welcome back!! I am so glad your highs are much much longer than the lows!

Sorry to hear about your journey back but glad you got back safely :)

Welcome back!
Its sounds like you had a fantastic time :goodvibes- great to hear your good comments about the Santa Fe too - will be staying there in february so that is reasuring:goodvibes Will look out for your reviews too.

Sounds like you had a great trip kizzy :)
Sorry to read about the camera and your car :(
Looking forward to your trip report xx

Welcome back :wave2:. So glad you had the trip you hoped for with good weather (mostly!), short queues and lots of characters and new experiences. I had my fingers crossed for you. :)

I really feel for you over the ghastly drive home though and it is such a shame to have lost the camera and autograph book. Mind you, you seem to have handled it brilliantly, I get really stressed when stuff like that happens!

Overall it sounds a very happy trip and I am so pleased for you. :goodvibes

WELCOME BACK!!!!! :wave2:

So glad you had a magical time! pixiedust:

Gutter about the drive home - not the way you want to end your holiday!

Can't wait to read your TR!

Welcome back :wave2: glad you had a great time and  for the camera and the scary experience with the car.

Sounds like you had a great time with the exception of the return leg

Aw sounds wonderful! Know exactly how she feels .....my camera never turned up :-(

Sounds like such an amazing time....looking forward to your trip report B-)

Thanks everyone!
I got her to read through this thread and she thought your kind words were very nice.
Ah I would normally get het up over this kind of thing but I didnt want my reaction to make DD upset and besides its only a camera! It wasnt her AP or her purse or something we cant replace plus the only autograph from the books that we didn't have was Duffy so we went back Friday morning and he stamped my notebook twice for the kiddies so DD has something for her scrapbook :goodvibes

The car was a nightmare but Bessie has been behaving ever since :) Next time Mums driving and the flights are both daytime so even if she gets tired and wants me to drive it won't be a problem.

Lol Jo - you were the 1st person I thought of! We tried in MLV train station but no camera and to be fair whoever has it is a nasty little bugger because its clearly a kids bag and has a MASSIVE tag that clearly says that if found please call 00353XXXXXXX on it! They'll have no luck for keeping it :rolleyes1

I'm on catch up trying to get through the threads I've missed and I cannot believe you've been away and are back already :scared1:

Sounds like you've had a great time, i'll catch up with your ptr/tr at some point :goodvibes

Welcome back!

I'm so pleased you've had a great trip with so many highs!

It's a shame about the camera - I hate losing things it really distresses me which is silly really because it's only stuff but I can't help it. What a nightmare about the car too!

Glad you had a good time though :yay:

Thanks lovey!
It was by far the best trip yet :) They just keep getting better :cool1:
