So we have been back about 2 weeks after spending 3 weeks in Orlando.

We flew out Christmas Eve with Virgin ( Myself, DH, MIL, FIL, DD4, DD3, DD1 and DS 6 months)

Lows - I find it best to start here and build up to the good stuff lol!

despite the ridiculous amount of "Christmassy" stuff and the constant Christmas music it didn't feel like Christmas. Most Surreal Christmas day ever lol!

The shuttle service at our hotel on Idrive was rubbish - Spent $20 - $30 a day in Taxis. Who wants to leave their hotel at 11:20??

Askershaus - WHAT A LOAD OF RUBBISH! - We have been here twice before and the food has all been on the poor side, but honestly this was the most ridiculous meal of the whole trip. We spent the whole time arguing with the waitress about whether the Brussels were cooked (hubby couldn't even push his fork into them lol) My Lamb was practically wriggling on the plate!

Wolf gangpuck - Hubby found a rubber band in his food!

Taking the In Laws (again) was like having another 2 kids with us!!

Spending a good hour trying to get my PP+ after they failed to send me a voucher.

Spending an AGE getting a $200 gift card they have given us as a good will gesture in July for poor customer service resulting in us missing CRT booking at 180 days so we had to eat there at 8pm (with a 4 and 3 and 1 year old this didn't go down to well) 2 of them fell asleep at the table lol. Apparently a system error occurred - go figure!

Disney charging out credit card $90 for absoloutly no reason and then having to fight to get it back!

Our main lows were bad customer service more than anything. But we didn't let it ruin our trip :thumbsup2

Highs

My son getting his first kiss from a princess - Merida left a lipstick mark on his forehead which my girls thought was amazing

Riding the "big girl" rides with my 4 year old, I was pregnant last time so couldn't do any of them :lovestruc

My girls meeting santa on xmas day

Eating way too much food and loving every minute of it lol

Seeing the run Disney marathon, seeing everyone with their medals was great and really inspiring for my marathon run next year.

Christmas day at SeaWorld was fantastic, not nearly as busy as I expected and in fact we have been to Disney/ US on normal days when it has been busier than that.

dine with shamu - this really was great, they have totally overhauled it in the last 12 months. It is a lot more "educational" than previously.

Although it was Christmas in the usual sense and I put it in my lows it is also a massive high and I would di it again in a heart beat - In fact we are looking at going back this year :lmao:

Withdrawals have kicked in already and this time it is Hubby who is driving the way forward for Christmas 2014. Just waiting to see if the free dining is offered so we can price up Disney over a villa :) at the moment with food/car etc they are coming out roughly the same.

If anyone wants to ask any questions feel free - any excuse to relive the magic

Glad you had a good trip despite a few customer service issues. I must confess your words rung true about it not feeling like Christmas. We visited DLP over Christmas back in 2006 and it just did not feel right! It is hard to put in to words - I quite like surreal as a suitable adjective!
