We got back last Friday from our 4 night stay in the Sequoia Lodge.
There was Me (22), Jason my bf (26), Barry my brother (18) and Aeden my step brother (11)

Here are our Highs and Lows!

Highs

Sequoia Lodge It was our first time staying in the Sequoia Lodge so it was a nice change from the Cheyenne. I had emailed them before our visit and asked for a refurbished room if possible and also included how it was my 17th trip! I was happy to be given a room in the North Wing on the same level as reception which was beautifully refurbished! On the table was a big bottle of Vittel, some chocolate coins and this little guy! It was a nice surprise!

VIP Breakfast When I checked in I was given a VIP breakfast pass which was fantastic! It was great not having to choose a slot for breakfast each day!

Aeden's First Roller Coaster Aeden had never been on a roller coaster and also has a fear of heights but on this trip he did BTM, RC, Crush, Toy soldiers parachute drop. This was so big for him to do these as when we went when he was 7 he was too scared to do anything.

Being a group in DLP Normally it is just me and my bf in DLP but it was nice this time to have Barry and Aeden with us. Barry doesn't go as often as me so it was great to have him with us this time. It made the queuing seem much quicker with a few of us chatting.

Being in the parks at night I love love love seeing the parks lit up at night time and on this trip it was brilliant. I loved doing RC and TOT when it was dark and seeing the park lit up in so many colours!

Guest Numbers Although the parks seemed really quite busy we found that we never queued very long for a ride! We got on Crush on Friday at about 2pm with a 45 minute queue, after that we did TOT with a 15 minute queue.

Christmastime!!! The Disneyland Park is so beautiful at Christmas time and it was so amazingly magical standing on Main Street when it snowed! Also the Christmas music on Main Street was wonderful.

Lows

Lost Ticket Barry lost his ticket on our 3rd day so we had to go to reception to get a new one which took a while.

Good Morning Fantasyland Breakfast I had been really looking forward to this but felt that it wasn't worth it at all. Our slot was in Au Chalet de la Marionette and it was just awful. We got our food which was fine but then it took us ages to find somewhere to sit as people had decided to get tables before they got their food and were taking turns going up so they wouldn't lose their table. Perhaps we just weren't clever enough and should have snapped up a table first! It just felt so messy compared to our civilised enough breakfasts in the Sequoia Lodge.

Rude Guests I saw one man urinating in a bush at the RC Racer queue. So disgusting!! Also I found a lot of guests in shops etc would just bust on through instead of saying excuse me if someone was in their way. I also smelled someone smoking a joint in WDS!!

The Weather January 2010 we had snow and the Disneyland Park was beautiful under a white blanket. January 2011 there was frost crisp weather and I loved being wrapped up in my scarf and coat while the park twinkled with frost and magic. January 2012 was rainy, windy and mild. When queuing indoor you would be way too hot but you would need your coat because of rain and wind outside. I would have preferred if it was freezing cold! On the Thursday it lashed rain in the afternoon and we got soaked on Indy! But we dried off back in the SQL.

Closed Pool The pool unexpectedly on the Wednesday and all the other hotel's pools were full so we couldn't use theirs.

Not seeing a single show! I am not happy about this at all and I only have myself to blame. The 3 lads weren't that interested in seeing any shows but I was. I really wanted to see Princess Aurora's Christmas Wish but missed it on the Thursday by 5 minutes. Aeden got tired more quickly than us so we found ourselves going back to the hotel in the afternoons for rests. I should have taken those opportunities to see shows but I didn't. And when we were in the parks we tried to get as many attractions done as possible. It is my own fault though!

I think that is all. I will go into more detail when I get a chance to do a trip report!
