We had an absolutely amazing trip. I wish we were still there!
Highs
The decorations. It was SO christmassy and there was so much attention to detail. Even the CMs outfits looked like something out of a movie
. We all loved the christmas music, the snow, cavalcade and tree lighting, everything.
hNY. We were so glad to be able to get back to our room in minutes after a long day in the parks. It was very comfortable and we loved the christmas tree in our room! We had a ground floor room facing the ice rink but it was always quiet. The lack of breakfast scrum was very welcome too.
The charcters. Inc our meals we met mckey x 3, minnie, donald, tigger, daisy, perla x2, suzy x2, Pluto, goofy, aurora and philip, cinderella and ariel. They were all so lovely. Mickey brought dd2 a birthday cake n cafe mickey and did the most hilarious dance!
The weather.. We were so lucky. It was cold, especially on fri night waiting for dreams, but it was dry.
The lows
the rude people. it didnt ruin it but we did encounter a few people that didnt want to budge to let others pass, or just barged through as if you were invisible.
parade time on saturday. It was SO busy. We got caught in a scary congested area on main st, by the cookie shop window, and it actually shook us all quite a bit. Then we went to go On casey jr to find i hd just closed, so we went t catch the train back to the park entrance and found that shut too. Not our finest hour. At least the interaction in cafe mickey cheered us up!
We all want to go back, probably at christmas again, but it wont be for a couple of years at least
partly because theres a chance of going to florida next.. But it does seem sad with no DLP trip to plan!
Oh, and im sooooo glad i took the advice of those that suggested snow boots! No cold toes whtsoever

- apart from the scrum bit, of course! I'm getting more and more excited about our trip - we are staying at the HNY as well.
