Hello, I've had a lot of help from reading the board, and registered to post my Highs and Lows - proper trip report to follow.
Highs -
Davy Crockett Ranch - our premium cabin was lovely, the setting is gorgeous, so quiet and leafy, the pool is magical, we used it every day, also it was easy to meet characters every evening at the Ranch.
The park - the theming was so detailed and beautiful, I last went 12 years ago and had forgotten it is this good.
The rides. Loved them all.
No queue jumping - there was loads on my last visit, I was prepared for every queue to be a free for all - but it was fine. Likewise all the CMs were friendly and helpful, 12 years ago there were some who were surly and downright rude, I'd prepared my party for this, but it was all fine.
Lows -
SOLDIERS with big GUNS patrolling the park entrance. I didn't expect that at all.
fantillusion and dreams - sorry to go against the flow, but I was a bit jaded by the time I'd held down a patch of kerb for 90 minutes. It was all quite good, but not, you know, that good. Also, although we were front row at the parade route, we were in a spot that missed all the three fantillusion 'events' so you sort of felt it was all happening somewhere else. An annoying gap in my planning.
Chip and Dale. they walked away from my DD when she was at the front of the queue with her autograph book held out, and made her cry. I know they have to draw a line somewhere, but... I hope they get eaten by Brer Fox.
Minor Lows, Major highs. All in all a wonderful trip.
