I was wondering if highchairs are available to rent or use in your hotel room? We are staying at POR. We plan on eating quick breakfasts in the room most mornings and I know dd will eat while we are getting ready if I have a highchair for her to sit in. We are driving and I can maybe fit one in, but got to wondering if maybe they had them available for use at the resort. Anyone know?

We stayed at POR this summer. I am not sure how old your little one is, but my son did great at the table and chairs in the room. The chairs had a really wide square seat and nice low arms. He was 16 months at the time and ate all his meals at that table. It was so cute that I even have a picture of him eating there so I could remember it.

Hmmm. . . .

I know we've had them in our villas at the DVC resorts, but I don't think I've ever seen them in the regular rooms. They might have one if you ask, though.

Two other options -

Buy one of those folding high chairs that straps on to a regular chair. That's what we did. We got one at Wal-Mart for about $12 and it folds up so we can put it in a suitcase. It has staps that secure it to a regular chair. We love that thing!

Or

Consider renting one from www.abbf.com (A Baby's Best Friend). We've used them several times for other baby things, and they're great!

Another thing... because of the wide seat I would think you could easily bring a booster seat with a tray that would attach to the chair in the room.

Good Luck.

She would be fine eating on the regular chair, but she is a busy body (almost 18 months).... and I know with being in a fun new place to explore and us trying to get ready she wouldn't give two seconds to sitting in place and eating. She loves to eat applesauce and I know it would keep her busy in the morning while getting the other kids dressed as long as I could strap her in LOL.

Thanks for the ideas! Funny thing is I just found one of those strap on booster highchairs in my basement. I forgot I even had one. I will just clean it up and pack that. Much better than trying to cram the full size highchair in.
