Has anyone out there seen this movie? I was thinking about watching it tonight.

Is the film subtitled or is it dubbed over? is it hard to follow from the dubbing, and is is decent dubbing or Japanese Godzilla bad dubbing?

Thanks.

I saw the unrated version with subtitles. If you can avoid it, I understand you should run like the wind away from the theatrical release US version that's dubbed and very cut.

In any case, I loved the movie. Great turn on the typical slasher flick. It's very, very violent by the way. But has one doozy of a twist ending.

Damn - I hate subtitles. Then again, I hate cut up movies. If I'm correct, the one on Pay-Per-View is the US theatrical version, dubbed over.

I didn't see that version but from what I've been told by other fellow horror geeks, the US version comes across as a typical slasher flick. If you can, get the subtitled one that's uncut. If you like slasher flicks, and you like great chase scenes, and you like the "last girl" in the slasher flick to take matters into her own hands and fight back big time, you'll love this movie.

I work at blockbuster I would say watch the subtiled one.

Thanks - I don't think I have the option sadly. The "rated" version, whic I believe is the dubbed one, is what's on pay-per-view.

Do the 2 versions differ in terms of understanding the plot, or just in terms of grossness?

Since the cut footage only amounts to 40 seconds, the plot is still there, but the impact of those scenes is gone.

Check out this review of the unrated, uncut, DVD.

How about just renting this DVD which has both the dub and original French with subititles. You could see the whole thing and go back and forth depending on which option turns out to bother you less. I'm a big fan of original language. It seems that the dub actors never fail to ruin scenes with over acting. Better to read the movie than suffer through bad voice acting.

Is that the one with Morgran Freeman and shoot, whats her name....it was a pretty dumb movie.

No. It's a French movie and it is awesome!!!! Gory, but good.

(watch the undubbed version. I saw both, and couldn't get past the badly dubbed voices!)

Watched it last night. It was OK. I wasn't surprised by the twist ending. Maybe because I had heard there was a twist. I thought it got kind of silly with all the switching back and forth between the girl and the fat guy. It's like, "OK, OK, we get it - It's the girl. Stop showing the fat guy."
