High Tea is at 3:30 on sea days on the 7 day cruises. There currently is no charge. It is wonderful...takes about 45 - 60 minutes. In Feb, they weren't serving the trifle, although it was still on the menu. The scones are great! Dress--summer casual. I wore a sun dress. Guys would be fine in sports shirt and pants.
On our last cruise, there was no charge for the High Tea. The brunch/dinner charge had already been raised to $10. It is certainly possible that they have recently added a charge for the tea, but I'm not aware of it.
We're sailing again in September, so can let you know for sure then.
We sailed the first week in May and there was a $5.00 per person charge for High Tea. If Kcashner has sailed since then and there was no charge perhaps it was just in testing for our sailing.
I had read on this board that there is now a $5/person fee for High Tea. We will find out for sure when we go in September because we hope to do it for the first time then.
We had booked the REAS, (7-day eastern) and did the Brunch on Sunday, Palo dinner on Monday, and had booked the tea for Thursday (3rd sea day.) By the time Thursday arrived, we were so full (still full from the brunch 4 days earlier!) that we couldn't fathom attending. Since it was also our last sea day, we wanted to lounge on the deck chairs and take in the beautiful view that time of the afternoon.
Ah well! That meant we HAD to book another cruise while on board. (Only next time, I'll book the tea earlier in the week! )
