 So, tell me about High Tea at Palos. I obviously know from reading the boards that it is worth the ressie, but what exactly is it? How much extra?

I assume that DH and I want to do Palos for dinner as well?

Actually, it doesn't cost anything! (although we returned later with a phone card for our server.)
It was one of the highlights of our Magic cruise. I am a tea person, and this was a delight. They brew it with the whole tea leaves in a strainer, so the chamomille was just like my grandma used to make it. Hubby had a divine cinnamon tea. They serve you finger sandwiches and scones & jam, plus other goodies like eclairs and parfait. The number of people they serve is very limited, so it is very elegant. We were all sitting in tables quite near each other, so we ended up chatting with the people at the two tables on either side of us.
I definitely recommend it!

You DEFINITELY want to do dinner and BRUNCH at Palo on the 7-night cruise.

High tea was not my cup of tea ;) but it is very nice, as Barb described. It's certainly not worth stressing over if you don't get get a reservation, though, but you will want dinner and brunch at Palo. :)

I'm glad to see that some people ACTUALLY get the high tea reseies. We knew that there was limited space, but being 6th in the Palo's ressies line on our cruise Oct 19th, it was COMPLETELY BOOKED and we were out of luck. Another friend was 2nd in line and it was COMPLETELY BOOKED when they got in that line! What's the deal? We have heard from several people who have tried to get ressies and got in the line for it and it was booked! Do the conciege people get pre-bookings? I find it hard to believe that the first person in line (or for that matter one of the first ten people) would not be able to make ressies for high tea! Something doesn't sound right!

Anyways we had high tea and dinner so we didn't lose out on those great times at Palos.
