High school reunion? (10 year)

When do they start contacting you for your first high school reunion? I only ask because I'm around 2 years from it, and none of my family lives in the area I went to high school anymore. I don't even live in the same country anymore... I'm not really active on facebook, so I'd probably miss that invite if it were sent to me.

Almost curious to see how everyone turned out, considering I was a huge nerd in high school...

Anyone have some funny high school reunion stories? Just for the hell of it, I'd like to make this an interesting thread.

I had a great time at both my 10th and 20th reunions. Facebook was THE way to find out about our 20-year one last year. My husband and I weren't on Facebook the year before that, so we missed even finding out about his 20th reunion in 2008.

I know you said you aren't very active on Facebook, but if you really want to find out information about or help out with your reunion, I suggest making friends with lots of people from your class on there. It was also nice to have kind of caught up with everyone's lives before actually going to the reunion. I'd guess that the 20th reunion had a better showing than the 10th simply because people had "found" each other.

I have been on the reunion committee for all my reunions. Our reunions are always in August. We sent out the invites in the middle of April and asked that the RSVP's be returned by the end of May. We do a book with everybody's updated info so it takes some time to do that with about 400 classmates

If you want to make sure you get an invite, contact your old high school and update your address and email information. They try to maintain a master list that way, at least around here they do.
