Calling all mums and dads....
If your girls (or boys) are into HSM - what age are they? Having not seen either film I would guess it's pitched at 7+ ?
My DD's friends of her age are quite into it (DD is 5 in April) and they can't understand why she isn't! We saw the pep rally twice this year at MGM and I recorded the first film off BBCthree a few weeks ago and I've asked her if she wants to watch it but she says it's for older girls which is fine by me. She's never been into Barbie as she doesn't relate it to anything (hasn't seen the films), she just loves playing princesses with her younger sister(2) as they dress up, act out scenes from the films, dance and sing the songs from their CD. She doesn't have any older cousins to be of influence which I know is a problem for some of my friends. Shes a great little girl (I know I'm biased) who wants a skipping rope for christmas as she learnt to skip whilst waiting for the MK parade on main st.:cloud9:
Just a little parenting niggle - is peer pressure going to be a shock for her when it's more full on when she starts school full time in Jan?

My DD is 4 and DS`s are 2 and 7, they all love it especially my DD.
She dances and sings to all the songs and has even asked for the sing along game for the wii.

My DD is 5 (6 in January) and she is obsessed with HSM, most of the things she has asked for at Christmas is HSM related. Her favourite is Jump in though which i think is a bit older than HSM.

Dont worry about it you cant force these things ;) My DD just turned 8 and has never been into Barbie or Bratz and shows no interest in HSM. I bought her the DVD (well it is Disney) and she wasnt interested. With Molly you cant force these things on her and only now is showing interest in the more girlie things:cutie:

Your little girl sounds quite happy and content playing princesses with her sister. She will grow up soon enough :lmao:

My DD (just 7 in August) has only recently got into HSM and Hannah Monatana etc. This time last year she couldn't have cared less, but now is a whole different story. Her xmas list is rather full of HSM merchandise.
I will also admit to enjoying a song or 2 from HSM or HSM 2!!!

Honestly it's fine by me - I think there's plenty of time in her life for things like HSM. I just don't want her to feel left out, I wasn't trying to push the issue. She's not a child thats easily influenced, she likes what she likes - if you know what I mean!

Same here! DD was 5 last month and DS was 2 and as I speak DS is bouncing his HSM basketball and shouting 'Head in the Game'. I have just bought some HSM transfers to iron onto a T-shirt for him as he gets so jealous when Molly wears her HSM clothes.

Molly started school in September - none of her friends are at all interested in HSM but her teacher did say that if everything in school could be related to it she'd be a happy girl! Luckily she still loves her Princess dresses and dolls.

I wouldn't worry about your daughter PoppyAnna - I'm sure she will be fine. Molly's favourite activity at school seems to be 'fighting the boys!' Not sure what it entails apart from chasing but it means she has a good mix of male and female friends.
