High School Musical, have your kids seen it?

I knew there was a lot of hoopla over this movie. Kids love the music in it. So, we bought it on vacation, because idiot ME forgot to bring movies. Yes, a 24+ hour drive, a dvd system in the van, and NO movies! DUH.

So, the kids watched it 3 times! on the way home. I didn't see it, but I got to listen to it, because we used the radio for audio.

If you haven't seen it, it is a good movie if your looking for something to entertain the kids. It is about being different and acceptance.

I heard it is supposed to be a modern version of Grease. At least that's what I heard.

Anyway, my DD6 has seen it. Its a great movie! I want to watch it more often then she does.

Have my kids watched it? Only a thousand times! It's my DD5 favorite and the other kids aren't far behind. I have to admitt, I love it too.

Yep and my 22 mo can sing most of the songs lol.. as soonas we get into the car she yells bop to the top for the cd.

The watch the dvd a few times a day and listed to the cd in the car.

My kids have seen it as have, I think, all the kids between ages 5 and 20 in this town. The junior high kids think it will be the junior high musical this year, but I told DD#2 I doubted the rights would be available this soon. And I have to hear all about the lead actor's social life--dating the lead actress supposedly--I don't even know the names but if my girls were home (DD#2) or awake (DD#1) they would know.

Yup we even purchased it from iTunes and put it on my DH Video iPod so that DS can watch it on the plane tonight!!!

As far as modern day Grease....it totally is. Maybe that is why I love it too!

The movie is great. At my high school a bunch of us sing it. It got annoying after a while but I have not seen the movie since it came out on Disney Channel. I want to buy it.. It was a big hit will newborns, kids, teens, adults basically people of all ages. I hear that they are going to have a High School Musical 2

I haven't seen it yet, but my little sisters practically have it memorized. At DSis's Sweet 16 party last Friday night, all the 16 year old kids were waiting for one of the songs to come on and got so excited when it played. Also, at DSis(8)'s parent's day, the whole class did a song and dance to one of the HS Musical songs. They LOVE it!

Yep. My kids have watched it several times. And I have watched it right along with them. I think it's a great movie.

We have the soundtrack CD as well.

And yes, it is kind of a modern-day Grease.
