High School Musical 2...

Hello everyone

I need your help to work something out.

A girl in my class says she has got High School Musical 2 on DVD from when she went to america.

I don't think this can be possible because i don't even think it is out in the cinema in america yet.

Could you please help me if you have any idea about High School Musical 2 and when it is out on DVD in america or whether it is actually in the cinamas there yet?

HSM is on TV in America next Friday which is the first time (it's a 'made for TV' movie)

It's not been at the cinema or on DVD so, much as I don't want to say she's lying, it does seem unlikely that she would have a copy

She wont let anyone borrow it as she says it is "too valuable" to just hand it to anyone and i have tried telling her that no-one beleive that she has got it unlless she shows it to them

HSM2 soundtrack is available in the shops on Monday. Pre releases of the album are already available.

Maybe the question that should be asked is why she needs to make this statement?
Is your class full of "my (X) is better than yours"? types? do you all integrate together or is there the clique and the rest?

Could it be that to be either noticed or become one of the in crowd she feels she has to do this? if so then there is something seriously wrong with others in the class?

I seriously think she is lying as the premiere is on Disney channel in the US on Aug 17th. Let her carry on and just ignore her Rhiannon. There used to be a few girls like that in my class when I was at school, that would try and brag and say they have things or done things when they were so obviously lying

Usually these kinds of people are also very full of themselves!

It definately is not out on dvd cause I have checked a few region 1 dvd sites for you that I use myself and they are only bringing up HSM 1.

On Wikipedia it tells you all about it and the premiere for the UK is Sept 21st on Disney channel UK.

However, as everyone else has said (and I agree), the chance that she has already got it are highly unlikely.

Obi, I can totally see what you are saying but I think you'll find a lot of teenagers will brag about having the latest this, that or the other - it doesn't necessarily mean there is anything wrong with them - or the rest of their classmates/peers. Certainly, as Rea can tell you, my kids don't have the latest gizmos and gadgets (no PS3s or Wii's in this house ) and I don't think they suffer at school because of it.

well the moment of truth is when i go back to school because she is going to show us that she has actually got it

I guess she could well have it by the time you go back to school if it is available on DVD in the US before early September but, like everyone else has said I don't believe she has it now either.

It's not just teenagers who brag about what they've got - I know a few adults who do it too!

my 5 year old has now watched it six times (!!!!) when you get to watch it, Miley Cirus (Hannah Montanah) appears in the film. See if you can find her.
I had to run the dVd back but eventually found her. Clue, she is as Miley, not Hannah (hair)

Oh My goodness my DD will be ready to pop with excitement when she hears that! HSM is all we hear about at the moment so I'm looking forward to being able to record HSM2 when it's on the TV to break the monotony a bit!

Its a very quick Cameo shot with Miley, she has no speaking or long camera shots.

Its worse than that it is my son, who has got fixated on Sharpae!!
