Has anyone been there during this time?

Of course, one month before we go I find out there will be hundreds of teenage girls there..

THey are staying at eithor the All star sports, or Caribbean, thankfully, NOT the POP, where I'll be.
No offense, I have a teenager... so hundreds more of them in the room next to me dosen't ring my bell, ya know!

But, they are having a special "night" at MK. DOes anyone know what night this is??
THere is NO WAY they'd make it the night of the PPP, right? (Feb.9th)

I was so afraid of that myself. We are going 1/20 - 1/26. The college cheerleader's last day will be our first day there, so that won't be too bad. Everyone says college isn't as bad as HS, because it is taken more seriously(for scholarships and such) and the girls are alittle more mature. Either way, I'm glad we're missing it!

I was there last year during the All Star Nationals and only really noticed the cheerleaders at MGM (where the competition was taking place). Saw them elsewhere too, but not in large enough groups to be bothersome to me.

We even sat and watched a bit of the competition when we needed a break from walking...

There were some groups at POP, where we stayed... but the only reason I could tell was that I passed their chaperones one night as they were checking in each room, and then duct taping the kids' in their rooms (putting a strip on the outside of the door)!

We've been there when they were at ASM our first year going to WDW and to be honest they were well behaved little critters. They actually sang on the bus to MK for my youngest. The only problem was one night at MK, near wishes, the one team had all orange shirts on and there looked like there was thousands of them and we couldn't get out of the park through main street. Then this one adult stood up and then the whole orange crowd moved over to the left in a snap. I've heard the horror stories but nothing from us. Last year we had them again in March but only noticed them in DMGM. I think they'll be there again for this March too with us. As long as they behave and don't push my kids around and ruin our trip, they can stay all they want.:cheer2: :cheer2:

We were there during the same time last year, and I can honestly say that we barely noticed them. I don't know if we just lucked out or what, but they were completely inconsequential on our trip. (We're going down this same time again this year.) We did see them, but really only in small groups. Everyone we encountered was well behaved.

Try not to worry too much - I hope you'll have the same experience we did.

I was there for spring break in 2006 on March 2 and ASSp was COVERED with the cheerleaders. I only went to WDW for a day and we stayed at ASMo but we really didn't notice, maybe bc we were college kids and it was no different than a dorm. We were pretty much at the parks and DTD until midnite but the next day when we were up and walking around the pools were packed so we just checked out and left. As far as the parks, we did all 4 parks in 1 day and really didn't notice a huge crowd. We were able to do the main rides at each park with little to no wait, esp with a fast pass.

I would avoid the value resorts and maybe even some moderates esp if you don't want to be around a bunch of cheerleaders.
