When in Orlando I ALWAYS buy chocolate, popcorn, biscuits and crisps to bring back with me to England.

But Ive been following a high protein diet for a while now so im avoiding sugary things when I get home.

Has anyone been to the heath food/protein shops in Orlando and know whether they have a good range of snacks that I can bring home?

They're quite expensive here and wondered whether theyre cheaper in the US and whether they have a bigger range than the UK?

Thanks xx

My husband likes the Gatorade whey protein bars (they do a Cookies n Cream flavor). You can also try GNC health stores. They have a wide range of products and snacks. Check their website as they sometimes have coupons you can print or have emailed to you to use online and/or instore.

I use a protein powder and buy it from a company called Puritan's Pride, which has free shipping to US addresses and they do lots of buy one get one free deals which you can stack with the free shipping. It's worth a look and you can get them sent to your hotel. I hope that helps you.

Thank you!! I love Carbkilla bars at the moment, theyre the best ive tried and only have just over 1g of sugar in!

Are the Gatorade bars available in the supermarkets or do I go to a health store?

I'll have a look on the websites too.

So excited :0) xx

Yes you can get the Gatorade bars at the supermarkets. We get them from Publix and I think Target has them too, but Publix usually has them on some kind of multi-buy deal. Having said that, I just saw your reference to the sugar content and looked at the nutritional information on the bars in the kitchen and they have way more than 1g sugar so they may not be your snack of choice. My eyes rove over that information seeking out different details as I shoot for a pretty high carb component in my diet due to all the running I do You'd shudder at the amount of carbs I take in! I will check with my husband when he comes home from work and ask him what his favorite alternatives are for low carb options.

These bars seem to come up as the popular choice for low carb options. They seem to be offering deals on them right now everywhere, but they are 5g sugar per bar, so still more than what you are getting. When we do our grocery shopping this weekend I'll have a look and see what else is on the shelf. As I said before, I didn't pay that much attention as I prefer to drink my protein so I buy the powder, but that's not great for fuel on the go.

Enjoy your planning. How many days left?
