High Heels @ WDW

One thing I noticed last weekend was the number of women wearing high heels to the parks. Now I'm definitely a comfort (sandals, tennies) girl myself when I expect to do a lot of walking, and just can't imagine how they can walk all day in these tall heels lol! After about the 25th lady went by in these huge heels, I turned to my DH and told him "Bless their hearts, they are twice the woman I am. My poor feet would be broken in two after a couple hours of walking in those"! (Later, though, I DID see one of the high heel ladies with her shoes off soaking her feet in the fountain at the French courtyard at Epcot!) Maybe I need to change my thinking - do you go for style or comfort?

I too am amazed at women who wear high heels to amusement parks. I'm a sneaker girl myself when it comes to amusement parks. So, to answer your question, I go for comfort:D

This reminds me of going to Canada's Wonderland (which is rollercoaster type place) and seeing women wearing white short skirts with high heels and short crop tops. How do you ride a roller coaster in a short white skirt with high heels?

Seahunt,

You must go check out www.badshoe.com (and not because I was just published there, either ;) )

It is our own Evil Emporer's homage to the utterly ridiculous and plain bad footwear of WDW. It's a hoot, you'll love it!

It is my holy quest to see people forsake style and seek comfort, for only with comfortable feet can one truely be at one with the mouse.

I don't wear high heels, but I have a friend who is short. She has worn high heels all her life and her tendons have shortened so she is uncomfortable in anything but high heels. She even has high heel slippers! So ... maybe some of the women are actually more comfortable in high heels. Or maybe they think WDW is the fashion capital of the world.

Oh my goodness....I have tears in my eyes! I thought high heels and platforms were for weddings only. Isn't there a law against roman toga sandals and pink patent leather?? And the toe hanging over the front of the sandal.....CALL THE FASHION POLICE AND CART THEM AWAY.....YUCK!

DW brings out my rockports and vans. Now my rockports are SPECIAL. Think black and prison matron!!! I DON"T CARE.....I'd rather look ugly, ugly ugly than hurt, hurt, hurt. Surprised these didn't show up on badshoe.com just for their sheer ugliness.

It's amazing, though, what people will do to themselves to be fashionable or what they think is fashionable.

You have GOT to be kidding!!!!:p High heels at WDW!?!?!?OMG!
I have not worn high heels since before expecting DS in 1984!!!

OMG! I went to the website! That is SO funny! And the soundclip- ROFL! Oh, now how I wished I had my camera last weekend - I saw some that were just unbelievable and I could have sent you to add to the site! Now I can't wait until DH gets home so I can show him! Thanks for the link - just love it!

Yes there is a law and I am here to see that it is enforced!

I have enough problems walking in tennis shoes. I could do some serious damage power walking at WDW in heels.

When we get tired at MK we fight for a rocking chair at LTT porch and watch for "bad shoes."

We are sick puppies.

I think its sexy when women wear sandals that show almost all of there naked feet
