Can anyone tell me anything about the HighGrove area in Clermont? Is it a nice area? Does it take long to get to the parks? Is it close to stores like Walmart, eating places, etc? We have never rented a house but are looking to for July.

Thanks for any help.

We have stayed there for the last two years. It's a nice area. Really the only thing that we didn't like about it is that it can be very tricky getting in and out of the neighborhood since it is so close to 192. Lots of u-turning.

It is a good area, and quietly cloistered away----However, there is a "gentlemen's club" almost right by the entrance. It is not a high end area though--I would say nice, but not great like Windsor Hills area.

Oh, it is about 15-20 minutes from the back entrance of the parks (Sherberth Road). Easy highway drive.

THe Wal-Mart is a Supercenter, there is a Starbucks out front :woohoo: and a Publix a couple miles south on US27.

Super Target just a bit back down US192.

Plus you get can 5 T-Shirts for $5 at 100 stores on the way to Disney! ;)

We stayed in this area a couple of years ago and really liked it (we were in the Clear Creek subdivision by Publix). I found it took us about 15-20 min to get to Disney's main gate (less time than using the bus from the value resorts).
